just watching this and cant help and see
a)how well maroney is running even though when they put 3TE to the right side he cuts back to the left :)
b)how well the the line is blocking..

who knows maybe they were dropping in coverage more as supposed this season but

EDIT:phil simms just said "No QB in the league gets as much time as tom brady and its all the offensive line" . And where are we now...

I dont agree with that, Brady's the best at feeling pressure and stepping up in the pocket or buying time by taking a step to the left or right. The o-line was great but Brady was just as good or even better...

i think someone who is also very very good at dealing with pressure and buying time is big ben, but at the same time his body's taken a beating in his short career

I'm a confessed Brady ball washer but if Cassel throws 3 picks against SD this Sunday like Brady did, this board will become unreadable with all the Cassel must die threads.

That dude has been sacked more than anyone in the last 2 years.

It's amazing to me to watch that game.

We are down how many players from that team?

S. Neal - Who we miss - When is he coming back, Week 6?
D. Stallworth - No biggie, as he's been hurt all year - Odds are we would not have him anyway.
Kyle Brady - ??
Asante Samuels - We miss him.
Tommy - No need to state the obvious.
Jr. Seau - I'll take Mayo's Youth - But I love Jr.
Gay - ??

I have a hard time believing they (OTHER THAN TOMMY) make THAT much of a difference. Not in a Belichick run system.

Plus, Tommy rolled his ankle in the 3rd Qtr, so he was not right for the second half, Welker had a groin injury, Gay had a groin injury, and Moss was nursing an injury from the last regular season Giants game.

Our current team is good, very good. When they start clickin', it's gonna be sweet and I'm not sure how far off they are from that now.

Re: Watching AFCCG re run on NFLN

I agree that our line is great. But I think what helps them is Brady's ability to avoid the rush. Brady is no scrambler, but it's the little steps he does.
This means the line can concentrate more on the blocking, and not worrying about where Brady is, because they know Brady can look after himself!

It is the little steps the Cassel has not yet developed, but can do more with his legs!

It is amazing to me watching this game (how quickly we forget) how patient Tom is and how he has the ability to take a couple small steps and earn himseld a few extra seconds then have a guy on his tail and not even flinch as he delivers a perfect pass before getting thrashed. How long does rehab take?

The chargers are not the team they were last year. So ya if Cassel throws 3 picks it would be bad.

And Cassel is not Brady. Folks expect way too much from a backup QB. Me, I like 3-1. Not that I expect 3 picks either. That would be bad.
