Michael Holley author of "Patriot Reign" and host of Comcast Sportstonight at 6:30pm just said Adalius Thomas will not play a down for the Patriots the rest of his career.

Re: Holley say AD is finished

good ******* riddance. Peace out Adalius, worst of luck to you, you whiny *****. Can't for the life of me understand how a guy who's paid that much to play a game can't manage to do so with an ounce of professionality. I'm normally not one to wish career-ending injuries on anyone, but this is absolutely one case where I wouldn't mind it.

Because:

he was benched

he was cut

hes just not going to

Reported or analyzed?

That's Bruschi's analysis too, as per the ESPN chat.

That's not exactly a major stretch at this point, is it? Mayoclinic, author of "When it Reigns, it Pours" and host of his family for Christmas dinner, says the same thing.

This has reached the point where Kraft might be involved.

I can't imagine anyone of his workers talking about him the way AD talks about Belichick.

Re: Holley say AD is finished

Partyyyyyy

Re: Holley say AD is finished

So why is he still involved with the team? Why is he still on the premises and still accessing the facilities?

Since Keyshawn Johnson and T. Owens, what are the rules on just sending a player home for the rest of the season? I know that they could simply choose not to put him on the 45 man game day roster but would it be worth it to have him b*tching on the premises?

He was giving his opinion, he was definitely not stating it as facts from a source.

Well, I don't think Holley was reporting this as fact.

Still, the Pats wouldn't be able to send him home and pay him. See T.O., 2005.

Seems like such a waste of potential. I still have that interception he made vs the Chargers in '07 recorded.... he outran their wide receivers on the runback!

I guess pure speed is not a guarantee of success, especially in a BB system.

Irreconcilable differences at this point.. He is no longer good for the team
See ya AD

So when a guy decides he is bigger than the team and starts to try and bring others down they can't make him stay away other than cutting him?

AD knows the rules and seems to be taking advantage of them.

Nice guy.

And what way does AD talk about Belichik? Seriously. I read the interview by Reiss. I have my opinion. Let's here your's since you seem to think that AD said something he shouldn't have.

I am wondering about this- why couldn't they do this?

If I am not wrong, I understand that cutting him puts us over the cap, but at the same time, his conduct is clearly detrimental to the team.

I also understand that if the Patriots dock him for "conduct detrimental to the team" they risk a messy standoff with the union (who would probably seek arbitration) and add to the distraction, for the team.

There must be something that can be done, though.

He has all of the physical tools..
must be a mental thing with him.

I would be shocked if he played again this year.
Next year; who knows? If he sat and didn't play the rest of his contract he would get paid BUT what player would want that? Is he that shallow?

Is there anyway to NOT pay him? With Unions and all I don't see it.

I think he will play this weekend. I don't know...BB knows what's good for the team. If he feels AD will put us in the best position to win, he'll play him.

If he bombs out again after this weekend...welcome to the Inactive List.

BB really misjudged this guy's characteraroo.

What motivation does he have now that he's a multi-millionaire?

BB needs to develop rookies and whatnot instead of relying on high priced FAs. Once you pay them they seem to lose motivation, or at least some of them do.

What happened to Crable bable? What was his dealio? Really injured? Too stupid to get the playbook? This guy lived in the opponents' backfield in collegio.
