i really didnt want to post anything regarding brady's 'desire' yesterday and i know its only a radio interview and he can say whatever now but anyone who keeps saying he has lost his fire in the playoffs or football or whatever really needs to think again IMO instead of giving knee jerk reactions after a loss.

As a fan you forget how much the players put into the season. Brady sounded miserable because he let his teammates down. Sometimes I think he puts to much on himself and it makes him play tight in the playoffs. When he was younger he just went out and played and had fun. Hopefully they get stronger through the draft.

I don't think it's a matter of him losing his "fire," but the fact is his demeanor yesterday seemed to revert back to the Moss days, as opposed to the energetic leader of the second half of the season. Maybe it was the Welker thing, as other have suggested, I don't know. But it was different.

I was shocked he actually said the word "I", TB has recently been saying the word "We" alot, he said it alot after the Baltimore loss last year.

This loss was on him and the offense, no one can blame the defense, given the Jets average starting field position, I don't put alot of blame on the D.

Tommy Clutch is a thing of the past in the post season, long gone and hard find at this point. I think he has some sole searching to do, even as great of a season as he's had, why he is wilting like a daisy when the pressure cooker is turned up in the post season is something that he has to make a decision to realize, accept and correct before anything can change.

well maybe. but i really dont put too much stock into what is seen on the sidelines. But reading some of the stuff here about him losing his fire or whatever and parking spot really gets me personally. They were all uptight in this game IMO and the early INT just put doubts into the minds .
And i always believed that in the last 8 games- the defense created turnovers to help the offense out. The offense really didnt win the game for the defense very many times -they created short fields or scored to blowout the score.Didnt happen last nite. Iam sure if they score an early TD ,they wouldve relaxed .

I enjoyed reading that, thanks. It's a sad day for me out here in the land of Pats haters, but it's probably 100 times worse for the guys who actually played yesterday.

Q: How long will it take you to get over this loss?
A: I never get over losses, any losses.

I tend to feel the same way, and I'm just a fan. It's somehow reassuring to know it means as much (or more) to the guy I'm out there rooting for.

Hopefully the team comes back stronger next year and figures out this playoff funk they've fallen into the past few seasons.

If anything, I thought he had too much "fire" yesterday--he was definitely pressing and getting more and more frustrated. What we didn't see was the trademark "cool" from the early days. In other words, he was more Marino than Montana in demeanor yesterday.

Look i don't care what anyone says, in the end QB's get the credit for winning games, then they should be accountable for the losses as well.

But from what i saw in that game yesterday, Brady i think played well (except for the INT). Even with the interception at the beginning of the game, he drove the team back and there was a drop in the ENDZONEEEE!

That there was just a momentum KILLER, and compounded the effect of the INT. That took from the confidence of the patriots and at the same time gave hope to the Jests.

I honestly think next year if the team progresses like i think it will, we will be better off than this year, and the rookies will have had their playoff experience. Brady hasn't lost the fire in IMO, but he needs to play better, maybe if we can get a WR that can go over the top taking pressure off the middle of the defense, because the whole game last night it just looked like the Jets brought down both their safeties and didn't have to worry about the deep threat. The time we went over the top, we almost completed it, with Tate splitting the defenders.

Anyways hopefully next year is our year.

He puts it all on himself because he should. He's already considered a sure HOF'er, one of the best to ever play the position, and the highest paid player in the NFL. He can handle it, he just needs his teammates to rise to his level.

I felt really off in this game when it started. I knew the Jitz had this incredible emotional ball in their belly and if they just had a crack of a chance, things would, and get ugly for N.E.

I was also really put back by Tom, was he sick? I don't know. He did not look himself. My wife told me to be quiet and not start that talk. But I couldnt overlook it. Where was the FIRE? The guy yelling at the players or just doing anything to get people UP. It's like he had something else on his mind.

Man, I feel sick today, its just a game and come Wednesday it will be back to normal day life. I refuse to watch anymore football while the jitz are in it. I cannot watch that team succeed. I've never liked that team, and it got to the wits when Parcells left us (BEFORE THE SUPERBOWL IMHO) to go to the jitz.

To lose to them, at home, the way the Pats lost, in the playoffs, to the my God, Jitz is almost as bad as going 18-1 and losing the SB in -07.

Congrats to their fans that aren't **** Heads, I know there are some, they enjoyed their day. Hopefully as a pats fan, it ends in Pittsburgh. Then Ill have to root for an NFC team in the SB no matter. LOL...

QFT, this team isn't built to withstand bad (or even mediocre) QB play - and probably won't be for the forseeable future. Do you see this team being able to win a defensive battle (alla Pittsburg or Ravens or even Chicago or the Packers)? Somethinglike 14-10, or 17 -14? That's not how we win and that's why Brady needs to play at a high level for this team to win. But what sucks is that he has become Manningesque inhis inability lately to shine when it matters most - the post season.

The defense getting turnovers didn't bail the offense out - the turnovers enabled most of us to belive that this was a better than average/"good" defense. When the turnovers disappear the true nature of this defense (mediocre/average) was brought to the forefront. The Jets offense has been exposed recently and this defense made them look very good last night - regardless of field position.

The Jets were not only playing with house money, but got a whole bunch of uncharacteristic Pat errors and strategies to take the ascendancy in this one specific game.

I think Tom is at the point of his career where he knows if he wins 1 or 2 more he will be considered the greatest ever. I think he is putting to much pressure on himself.. and actually folding a little bit under it. He clearly had the deer in the head lights look last night.. I haven't seen that since the Cleveland game. Holding on to the ball forever.. I have never seen TB hold the ball that long and I understand some of it came against 3 man rushes but I saw opportunities to dump it off to the back or a WR. To me this game was bizarre from the game management stand point and the QB. We will be back next year hopefully BB hits on 75% of his draft pics.

And also I am eating a lot of crow today. I thought this wasnt even going to be a game.

Maybe this is the problem? Maybe the prospect of never getting over a loss looms to large in his head during these games?
