gets hit the wrong way and it's all over

Well at least the number of sexual assaults in the area will likely go down as well.

Beat me by a minute. I was about to say "in b4 the rape joke".

Pardon my selfish thinking here but this just HAD to happen right before the Baltimore games didn't it  Seriously who needs Ray Lewis or Webb when the refs giftwrap you one of your two games against winning teams, then play creampuffs rest of the way except for Den and NYG. Watch something happen to those teams the week before.

EDIT: I guess I really can't complain though. We did make the SB last year by beating exactly one team all year that finished with a winning record overall, and needed a miracle shanked 24 yarder to do so :)

Anyone see the interview with Ben? I get that the injury is serious, but this guy never fails to tell everyone how hurt he is and dramatize it. It's like he wants to make sure everyone knows how tough he is and the media eats it right up.

There are a lot of quarterback in the league who suffer bruised ribs, separated shoulders, leg injuries, etc, but you never hear them talk about them the way he does. Can anyone imagine Brady, Manning, or Brees talking about their injuries as extensively and dramatically as Ben does? Even QBs like Rivers, Cutler, and Romo don't talk to the media like that.

Justin Houston fan club?

I know, but F squeeler fans.

Roethlisberger hyping up his own injuries so people will talk about how much of a warrior he is when he triumphantly beats all odds and steps on the field much sooner than anticipated? That's so unlike him.

seriously.

Brady wouldn't say anything and still be called a pretty boy. Tom never gets enough credit for toughness, outside of New England.

Roethlisburger is just setting us up for his Schilling bloody sock moment.

he's a supremely physically gifted athlete with the impulse control of a dead maggot, the morals of a street mutt and the smarts of a pimple brained pinhead.

sorta fits right into the preferred Steeler player profile.

wait didn't danny amendola also suffery a freak injury that had the potential to kill him? he didn't have a press conference about it, just saying

Opponents Records in 2011 *If you take out the Patriots game

Broncos, 8-7
Chargers, 8-7
Raiders, 8-7
Eagles, 8-7
Cowboys, 8-7
Jets (twice), 8-6

So if we'd lost those 7 games, they would have all been against "teams with a winning record," but since we beat them, they did not have a winning record. That's a lot of quality wins right there.

Why do I think that this injury is overblown just so Roethlisberger can play Sunday and get press for being some kind of Superman who "overcame" a life threatening injury to start a game? I don't believe any injury reported about Roethlisberger.

Mankins played an entire year with a torn ACL and not only did we not know about it, but it was six months after the surgery that we found out it was an injury suffered week one of the season and he didn't get surgery on it until the following February.

I played through a lot of injuries, sometimes even just in pickup games, and sometimes it was a very stupid thing to do, but they were never of the life threatening variety. I hope that Roethlisberger and the Steelers exercise good judgement on this one.

IF they won those games, but they didn't. What you see in the numbers 8-8 or 6-10 is a direct reflection of how that team performed over the course of that season. We beat exactly one team that was worthy of a winning record.

Ravens get lucky again... Hopefully the Steelers somehow win and then lose other games.

The same goes for Ellis Hobbs who we didn't know had a bad back throughout the playoffs in 2007/08 but we heard nothing about it until sometime in march

In his effort to be viewed as a normal person, as opposed to a sex driven neanderthal... he gets an exotic injury, so he can witness the birth of his first child.

Better than not showing up for work on a Sunday..
