Nick Kasa was 6'6", 269 lbs and ran a 4.71, faster than any 260 plus TE in this class. He went in the 6th round. For those of you who disagree with my post about this tight end class please show me a tight end class in the last decade that had a top 10 with more potential than this one?
- Eric Ebron
- Jace Amaro
- Austin Seferian-Jenkins
- Troy Niklas

Yeah by all accounts this is a terrible tight end draft class that is just being hyped on potential because its so thin. Last years class was better Eifert, Ertz, Fauria, Reed, Tolilio, etc.
Well no-one in this class has caught a pass yet. I think this class is decent to good at the top but after the first five tails off badly. Classes can always surprise and this one might but I personally haven't liked it in the way that I did like last years class. Time will tell. You know I love you Manx, but I gotta disagree with you here.
Eifert is a solid player, and I loved Kelce and McDonald, but the entire class was basically just a bunch of grinders. This class has the grinders, most of whom I'm not overly high on (although I'm an outlier on this board in my affinity for Arthur Lynch), and it also has high end athleticism in Ebron and Sefarian-Jenkins and Amaro and ultimate wildcard Lyerla. I'm not saying this class is full of world beaters but it's one of the more intriguing TE classes in years.
Just because Kasa was a value pick as an athlete doesn't mean that he speaks to the depth of the class. He was extremely raw, as a former DE, and I love his athletic upside, but he had one catch in 2014, and it came with 37 seconds left in a blowout in week 17. He has shown nothing to indicate that he is a good example of the depth of the class, no matter how much you love combine metrics.
Seattle @ 32 wouldn't surprise me. Pats at 29 however would be a bit of a shock. He is a good player but not a super high need.
