Bring on the Damn Habs!!!

I'm not sure it's sunk in for the Bruins that this is a lose and go home game. Where's the physicality and intensity?

depressed. wheres nathan horton when you need him?

2 giveaway goals tonight ... that is not worthy of moving on.
People will look back on this remembering how Tim Thomas stood on his head for the team.

Seriously ... as a former hockey player myself it all starts in the back.
No Sidenberg - no McQuaid ... that hurts a ton and Bartkowski and Miller turtled.

On top of it all ... hate to say ... but the Canadians earned it ... they were the better team this series especially on defense.

Like I said ... 3-1 Canadians.

epic suckage by the entire team ...
what do you mean like you said? i looked thru the thread and i cant find where you predicted they would lose 3 to 1.

Like I said ... Chara looks old ... he did ... especially tonight

... he's spent and without him you're not going to far.

it's not his fault ... it just is what it is ... he's 37 years old and looked 40.

Only way we could win this was with superior back checking to help the young D and Chara.

That effort took a toll and hurt the offense ... again ... not complaining ... just stating fact.

They still could have pulled it off ... but with 2 major mistakes tonight vs the Canadians 0 major mistakes it did not happen.

just got home from the game....no voice for the next day or two. This team looked so different then the one in the reg season..mistake after mistake....

With that W the Habs punched their ticket to the SCF. They should roll the rangers. But they will NOT beat a west team...AKA Chicago

Congrats Habs......their shot blocking skills were maddening, and Price got stronger and stronger. One team took advantage of their opportunities with precision shooting while the other team whacked at the puck.
Lots of disappointing performances and head scratching stupidity........it is what it is.
Until next year.

The Canadiens have no respect for the sport, flopping on the ground like they just got shot by a sniper from the stands if somebody so much as breathes on them...

Tha'ts who they are..they will never change...i am use to it by now.

Is it football season yet?

Eh ... next highlight is the NBA draft lottery ... a few days away.o_O

and what looch did at the end...really? what a sore loser

Ehh, I don't mind it. How many times do fans think players aren't emotionally invested in the games? I'd prefer that Lucic bashed Weiss brains in during the 3rd period, when the B's would be up 4-0, and MTL was about to be eliminated, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

Congrats to Montreal though. Say what you will about them, but they have the Bruins number. I said before the playoffs started they were the only team that could get in the B's way of making the Cup, and they did. Unfortunately I do think we're going to see a Montreal- Chicago SCF.

I feel exactly the same way I did after Bart Scott and the Jets beat the Pats at home in the playoffs a few years ago and it sucks balls.

I don't like him saying that, but immediately after the game you should be sore about losing.

It's a tradition in hockey. Ya it sucks you lost but man up and shake the hand after WW3 and the hard battles you faced. That's just me

The defense was a mess. Bartkowski was either turning the puck over or taking dumb penalties. Krug....I love his offensive skills, his speed, his mindset....but as a battle-on-the- boards defenseman....too small....it was glaring how many battles he lost on the boards in the third period. And Chara.......the guy is slipping physically, and with $7 mill, $7 mill, $5 mill, $4 mill on the books the next 4 years, cost vs performance will be painful. And Meszaros......slowest player in the NHL IMO. That deadline trade was an epic fail.
Then there is the Rat....he accomplished NOTHING all series except taking meaningless penalties...again and again. Losing 1-0 and he thinks white washing Price is the move? I wonder what the opinion of him is in their locker room because he puts the team in bad positions more so than good....and that has to wear thin, especially when the Habs were dominating the powerplay most of the series. And lastly, Marchand became a one trick pony....taking the puck down the boards, then circling back......where a Canadian player would be waiting to swallow him. If I could figure his move, you know the Habs connected the dots.....3 years at $4.5 mill per left on his deal.
Then there is the skill component involved in finishing....scoring. Just look at the Bruins shoot out stats during the regular season. The signs have been blaring all season this team lacks finishing skills. During the last month of the regular season, and especially vs Detroit, the Bs had so many break away chances on net by various players, and I can't think of a single goal. The Habs batted 50% on their break away opportunities vs Boston....which emphasizes the deficient defensive play, the value of finishers, and lets not forget Rask.....who was less than special.
