Couldn't even read the article because I'm not a member. What a homer this guy is. Two straight moral victories for the Colts. Funny that two weeks ago, the margin of victory is irrelevant because all that matters is the win/loss column. Now all that matters is how much heart the team plays with.

Didn't we barely lose to a 100% healthy Colts team last year, by only 4 points, while missing Rodney, Seymour, Bruschi, Wilson and about 4 other defensive starters, and Brady had the worst receivers in the league? I'm sure according to Kravitz, you need to perform well regardless of circumstances.

Here's all you need to know:

"The Colts, though, are not any other team. They have a champion's will and a champion's pedigree. They may have shown more in this loss than they have in most of their wins.

Even after a miserable couple of quarters, Manning was a superstar, hanging in there against the pass rush, biding his time, picking San Diego apart by finding Reggie Wayne and a host of backups, including Craphonso Thorpe.

And the defense, well, the defense gave the Colts that chance to win in the final minute. Guys were stepping up. Guys made plays. Guys who you couldn't ever have imagined were in the vortex of this game.

Afterward, San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers said, "I'm not going to apologize for winning a game like this.''

The Colts don't have to apologize for a loss like this."

let's root for these moral victories to continue

I wonder what the 'moral victory' standings look like? Colts must have home field locked up by now.

That shows the difference between these two teams. There's no such thing as a moral victory for the Patriots, it's either a W or a L.

Home field is a bad thing in the road to the MoralBowl. Most moral victories come on the road.

The moral victory angle is silly.

But is it really heresy on this board to acknowledge that they came a few inches from a heck of a comeback?

The media is over the top praising a guy that threw six picks. And I think the correct story to write about the game is what SD did poorly, not what the Colts did well. But we're just as bad the other way sometimes. If the kick had been good, the angle would have been much much different. It's a very large "if", but it's certainly not crazy for that to be something to note about the game.

If I were Colts fan -- a terrible thought -- I'd be doing what fans do: Looking at wins and losses and trying to gauge my team's chances. The reality is that after the last two games, if I were a colts fan, I'd probably be thinking, "ok, a bye is still in order and we have a fighting chance." Nothing in the last two games would have put me off that thought.

Really? 6 INT's and a gimme FG blown?

Seriously, how do the Colt fans on the board feel about this "writer"?? If I were living in Indy, I'd cancel my subscription if I read this trash.

Whats next, Will Ferrell as a Spartan cheerleader on the sidelines. Gosh, golly gee, what a team. Despite a franchise interception record of 6 picks, Manning almost leads our team to victory. Let not forget that heroic effort by Joseph Adai, 56 yards on 22 carries.

Not that it matters, but you don't have to be a member to read anything. They sometimes ask for an age and zip code to see who is visiting their site, so that may be what you saw.

I didn't read the article, I don't like Kravitz (even if he is finally writing positive stuff about the Colts for once), but all in all the Colts did better than you would have expected if someone just told you about the game. Two TDs on special teams and 6 picks...you would think that the Chargers would have won going away. The fact that the Colts could overcome those scores and turnovers while dealing with the personel losses and only needed AV to hit one of his field tries to win shows how good the Colts can play. I'm sure most people wrote the Colts off when it was 23 half way the 2nd quarter. I'm disappointed that they didn't win and the injuries have me concered, but they played they arses off with their backs against the wall.

BTW, I don't think anyone in the Colts lockerroom is calling it a moral victory. I'm pretty sure they see it as a W that got away from them, so it's a loss.

But Addai is Jesus walking on water and Maroney is the scum on the bottom of my shoes.

Because the Colts defense is for real and generated most of the points and because Phillip Rivers is Rex Grossman bad. Also Norv Turner is awful.

The problem I see with this explanation is, when the Patriots blew out San Diego everyone was attacking the Patriots as not having played a good team. So, last night this same team (which played poorly) beat the Colts, and we are hearing all the yea buts....... The Colts special teams were exposed by the Patriots, they are not very good. Manning threw 6 interceptions, and people are making excuses for him, SIX. Adam missed a chip shot field goal, and we hear "IF". Joseph Adai had 2.5 yards per carry and no one has yet mentioned that stat. How can you even show up today?

These are the "Defending World Champions." There should be no such thing as a moral victory, because it's not good enough.

Do you think any writer around here would write a piece like that after a close loss?

You are almost making my point for me. Given all those things, the Colts were a chip shot away from winning. Regardless of who you are playing, if you can pull that off, that's saying something. The Patriots weren't the ones that exposed the Colts special teams, they have been bad for years.

How can I show up? Please. What kind of fan would I be if I didn't?

Playing terribly and almost beating an abysmal team is not grounds to feel good about oneself or one's team.

I don't think the Colts defense stepped up in way, shape or form. That Charger offense has fallen apart under Rivers. To me, River's poor play was the story of the game. The man is pitiful and it's obvious the Chargers offense has no faith in him at all.

The chargers are an average team this year and on their way to below average. Follow this logic...the Vikings KILLED the Chargers last week and then the Packers KILLED the Vikings...and the Colts lost to the Chargers.

But you are right in continuing to be proud of your team and supporting them no matter what. I commend you for showing up here today! The Colts should be proud to have you as their fan.

The "VORTEX" of this game????

"champion's will and a champion's pedigree"?????

Is this an actual journalist??? It seems his day job is writing romance novels for the midwest by reading his verbage.

I used to love the Vortex but I didn't know you could play with them during an NFL game.
