Today is NOT the day to say "Let's talk about where we can improve". Yet I've already seen several threads discussing this very topic. Hell, 5 minutes after the Greatest regular season achievement EVER, this very topic was posted on this board.

What is it about New England fans that we feel compelled to see the glass as half-empty? Why cant' we Celebrate & Relish in the Glory of last night's incredible achievement without focusing on "Why we're concerned"? I honestly find this both sickening and sad. God knows we have plenty of time to talk about our concerns, but we are just FANS! We are supposed to cheer & congratulate our team on their perfect regular season. Yet I see a fan base that is reluctant and for the life of me, I don't know why.

We are NOT players, so it is NOT bad luck to give our team a well deserved 48 hours of pure celebration & congratulatory praise. There is NOTHING bad that can happen as a result of FANS losing focus. As a matter of fact, the thought we need to keep our focus as fans is utterly STUPID.

As fans, we do NOT need to keep it "One game at a time", nor do we need to accept "on any given sunday" BS. We can actually assume or believe we will be world champions and there is nothing wrong with that.

To those who are concerned & worried and not uphoric over last night's achievement....

SHAME ON YOU!

That's ridiculous.

So everyone who doesn't believe exactly as you do should be ashamed?

This isn't a family photo album or an official team site.

People come here for information and give and take.

It's great that there are threads of all types here. No one learns anything from everyone being on the very same page.

They're made o' glass. No intensity!!!! They're focused too much on Moss!! (except for the TDs, that's OK). Fire McDaniels. Meriweather's a bust!!!

I realize what you're saying shmessy, but we'll have to agree to disagree on this. Pitino was right about the niche of fans in New England that foster negativity. Although these fans have that right, they should be ashamed to focus on the negative after last night.

It's not about agreeing with me, it's about respecting our team's accomplishment. Complaining today is disrespectful. I'm sure many will disagree with me and I'm sure many will also say they believe as I do on this. After all, if you recall, I'm the one who always says,

"This is not a site to discuss football over tea & crumpets"

It's a FOOTBALL site and I'm giving my smack-mouth opinion on those who are "Concerned" and telling them it is my opinion that they should "put a lid on it today".

I keep hearing this. When will people realize that a significant number of Pats fans are NOT in New England.

Stallworth wasnt worth it!!! Maroney is glass and cant be a starter, Hobbs SUCKS, LBers are OLD, THE JAGS WILL BEAT US!!!!!!!!!! :bricks: :bricks: :bricks:

you can't stop the inevitable, P.R.

the only option is COUNTERATTACK

and the scary Marys will be open to a slaughter of legendary proportions if the Pats win it all

No way we'll get past our first playoff game. We've focused too much on going 16-0 and we have no energy left!

BTW...I'm usually "uphoric" four or five times when I visit Vegas...I like strippers with huge torpedoes...sosueme

I know you're right Joker, but I just had to get this off my chest. Thanks for the support.

No one learns anything from reading most of the kneejerk garbage that is spewed here lately anyway, though...except how to suck the joy out of one of the best things in life from an NFL fans perspective.

Used to be different here, intelligent, sadly those days are lost in the bandwaggon crush and implosion of everyone is entitled to an opinion even if it's nonsensical.

You have to admit MO, it's going to be tough to win at Gillette with our cheerleaders. I think they only ranked 13th best in the AFC!:D

If there's ONE thing that sticks out as far as the influx of negativity goes, it was when that KFFL board or ESPN board shut down and this board was flooded with the "stats masters" that posted there with regularity. I read a number of sports boards and have for the last twelve years, and what struck me about those sites was the overwhelming minutiae that was beaten to death daily. I just chalked it up to Fantasy Geekfest Gone Wild and never really paid much attention or particpated in discussions there.

I've been a Pats fan since the beginning and have seen some real clunker seasons, but I've NEVER been pessimistic about the Patriots...I LOVE this team...good ,bad, whatever. Sure there are pet peeves...we all have them....I couldn't stand Rucci and Lane and I STILL carry a grudge...just like I do for Ben Dreith...but to constantly whine about every facet of team play after every game is a concept alien to THIS Patriot fan.

Your comments nicely sum up the reasons I posted this thread. I honestly can not imagine being worried or concerned about anything that has to do with the Patriots today. I have no room for criticism because I'm overwhelmed with the satisfaction our team gave us last night.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!

PRETTY GOOD RECORD, WHY NOT ENJOY IT??

":rocker: CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG"

Yup, the know it all fantasy fueled armchair HC/GM/OC post NEM implosion. And linking to that OTHER board inhabited by moneyballers and generational second guessers.
