I'm sure there was already a thread about Bruschi being on the Make a Wish show on ESPN. But I just want to put football aside for a moment, and just thank Teddy Bruschi on being a phenomenal human being. That story was truly touching and the way he handled that was unbeatable. I used to hate seeing that guy play, but I no longer hate Bruschi. I can hate him when he is wearing a Pats jersey, but I will always know he is a speical one of a kind person. He made that kid's wish come true and I can't think of a better way he could've handled that situation. What a special man he is!

It was very nice to see Bruschi do that. It is of course no suprise. I thought the other teams/players did a good job with the make a wish kids. The story of the kids with the Eagles was a real good one too.

Yeah I wasn't suprised either but I just wanted to show my appreciation to Teddy. The Eagles story was great too. All of those seriously put a smile on my face. Great job ESPN!

Well said, Aqua. Mutual respect makes rivalry better!

Bravo for "Make A Wish"

as i recall (urban legend), MakeAWish is one of those table-napkin ideas from da Boston area. turns out it was started with an AZ state trooper's brainstorm for a desperately sick kid.
Bruschi is special. More than a few patriots players have really dedicacated themselves to the community (Geno Cappalletti and Sugar Bear, when he was here, come to mind).
But with Bruschi it's different in some way. IMHO there's a some kinda magic that starts up when he gets with kids, including his own.
i dunno, maybe just me.

Tedy Bruschi once sent me a videotape of himself making love to my wife.....and it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw!
