AD on our lack of pass rush

This is a total lack of personl accountability on AD. Everytime he has been questioned about x or y, he always throws it back to the coaching staff.

How about saying, "I haven't done a good job of generating a rush".

Same goes for Burgess. He spouted off the same thing, "Go talk to Mayo, hes our captain"....

What is this? The 1980 Red Sox?

Seems like he's saying, I just work here, go ask the boss.

AD won't say that because hes generally not put in a position to pass rush. I have no idea why that is , because its his best skill, but hes been moving back at the start of plays a lot more than hes been moving forward.

He's been saying all season that they keep using him for other things, when he should be a pass rusher.

At this point, I agree with him.

Thats exactly what he is saying and it annoys the heck out of me.

So, he should say something like:

"Look, these clowns have me sitting back in coverage. They got rid of the team's best pass rushing defensive lineman, shipped Vrabel out, brought in that stiff Burgess and changed from a 3-4 to a 4-3. Go talk to the idiots who made those decisions."

That's what he should be saying, on a Patriots team? If he did that, people would be reaming him for daring to speak out. These players can't win when it comes to pointing out the problems.

yeah..its not a good sign...we should both of them restof the way maybe and live with whatever the consequences are.

AD is just awful and has a bad attitude..

True. They seem to be playing him more on run downs and pulling him on obvious pass rushing situations/passing situations. Hes lost a burst IMO.

Still..come out and say we as players need to do a better job. It may be just lip service, but to throw it all on the coaches is nonsense.

Adalius Thomas is right.

I hardly ever see Mayo, Thomas, or any other LB even asked to blitz the QB besides Banta Cain.

Blaming this on Thomas being a crappy player, is like blaming Ben Watson for not getting any catches and saying Watson is a crappy player.

Ben Watson isn't being used in this team's passing game, if a reporter asked him the same thing he would have to say essentially what Thomas said, that the players run the play that is called.

iam sure teamsin the past had issues. If i read correctly BB meets captains every week and they give it to him what they feel andhe listens. Maybe they dont respect a young player like mayo as a team captain...who knows. But if players haveissues they can surely talk to BB i would assume instead of griping here.

He didn't throw it on anyone. He avoided the question. There's a difference.

I've heard this before, but let me make sure I understand. Thomas would be unleashing Hell on opposing QBs if the coaches would only let him? I just don't know that I buy this--it would seem to require the assumption that Bill Belichick is a moron.

Not really.

The tight ends have done nothing all season but that doesn't mean Ben Watson is a stiff.

I understand that there is a difference in deflecting and referring but instead of speculating on what HE could do better to help the team win, he dumped it on the coaches to offer explination. I'm not saying the guy needs to go to confession, but IMO that is a lack of personal accountability for the teams uneven play.

Based on what has transpired w/ AD this season, that's how I'm taking it.

I'd rather him say "i'm not rushing the passer" than give lip service.
