Isn't intentionally throwing a game a form of cheating?

I'm actually kind of sad they jsut rolled over like that. I would have rather them lost because the other team just beat them

Quick question though. Since the refs ALWAYS go out of their way to make sure the Colts win, and there is a huge conspiracy between Polian and the league to make sure the Colts rule the world, what happened?

Why didn't the refs call some ridiculous penalties for Painter when the Colts were still up? Or when they were only down by 6?

Or is it Manning who's in charge of the refs? I always get confused with the number of conspiracies out there.

16-0 regular season

still only one team to ever do it

Re: 16-0 regular season

you prob know that already

Re: 16-0 regular season

Who cares.

You have to prove they intentionally threw it. And if they did then why? They didnt intentionally throw the game in the sense i'm sure you're thinking.

Dierdorf ball washing Manning to the end...

Brady gets a lot of ball washing too. Suprises me how many Pats fans think it's a one way Patriot Street. Manning ain't that bad. Many I would rather face than him

Do some of you people live in crazy town? If a teams coach/management decides its more important for them to keep players healthy for the playoffs when they've already clinched everything than to go for 16-0, it does not equate to throwing a game to alter playoff pictures.

The Jets are NOT in the playoffs yet.

I can't for the life of me understand people equating this to cheating or asking about fines.

Is it a kick in the ass? Yes. Is it cowardly, I think so. But cheating? Fineable? C'mon folks.

DD loves Brady as much as Manning

So you missed the non call on a blatant Colts pass interference against a Jets receiver, then?

Just pathetic. I kind of support Caldwell's sticking to his guns but not his timing. Either say it doesn't matter and let Peyton rest a game or put it out of doubt. No way the Jets would have won this had he played a full game. This wasn't like the Pats/Giants game where the Pats had to spend everything they had to close it out. This was a gimme and with next week's game seemingly another easy win they chose to run away from being great. Pathetic.

who really cares. it's embarassing to lose the SB

Re: 16-0 regular season

fine be that way

This was a stupid move by Caldwell. The Colts were not us in 2007. The Colts while undefeated going into today, were not the Juggernauts we were smashing on teams, see I think 7 times they came back in the 4th quarter this season, so they could have used this momentum from going 16-0 rather than just resting guys and worrying about something that might happen rather than shutting it down this week and next and then after the bye hoping to start it up in a one and done scenario a few weeks from now.

I agree, they had a chance to do something amazing and now it is over. I am happy about them losing though so **** it

Re: 16-0 regular season

Quick question, how is putting up a thread being the only team to go 16-0 in the regular season any different than the 72 Dolphins celebrating being the only team to do a 17-0 SB?

I mean, when the Pats were driving for perfect, everyone talked about how stupid it was for the Phisn to celebrate whenever they're record went unbroken.

So what's the diff?

16-0 as a record only still exists because a team that likely would've done it decided to roll over and give it away.

Is that worth a thread?

Re: 16-0 regular season

Well I'm happy those slimeballs lost that would have sucked
