I'd be fine with Odrick, Benn, Sapp and Greshem.

Even better would be to trade 47 and 53 and move up and take Hughes, and wait for our TE.

I think that you are trying to set a record with Greshem at 53. 21 seems more likely.

I much prefer Odrick to Kimble.

I'm fine with Benn if he passes the interview (intelligence is the issue).

I question if the need for a pass rushing OLB is so pronounced that the Pats would need to draft 2 of them with their first 4 picks. The defense is stacked with situational players. IMO, the bigger need is for a 3 down player to man the gaping hole at the elephant position. Unfortunately, the only top 50 player who fits this role IMO is Derrick Morgan, who at the latest gets picked #15.

Belichick drafts for value and quality over need. Ultimately, I think the OLBs expected to be available will have 2nd round grades on the Patriots draft board. Graham and Hughes don't physically fit the mold. Sapp is a severe liability against the run. Kindle is better all around, but scouting reports seem to question his pass rush ability.

I don't expect to see an OLB drafted until round 2 and possibly the later parts of the round. In my book Koa Misi or Daniel T'eo Nesheim offer just as much to the Patriots system as the 1st round prospects and at much better value.

Need affects value. If Clausen drops to 22, I don't care if you rate him as a top 5 QB, you still don't draft him.

Look at our defense. We have 3 big holes: DE (replacing Seymour), Strong-side OLB (replacing Vrabel) and Weak-side OLB (replacing Adalius Thomas). I don't consider Tully a long-term solution given his issues against the run. We have also have a medium hole at ILB (replacing Bruschi).

On the offense, we have a hole at WR (replacing Gaffney). We have some other weaknesses there, i.e. a lack of quality at RB, C and RT, but these aren't really positions of need so much as positions for improvement.

You may feel that there is no-one available to fill these positions. That is a fair opinion. However, that doesn't change the fact that we have holes and that wishing they would go away won't make it happen.

I agree with these four holes and would not be upset if BB addressed them on day 1 and 2.

There is no chance on god's green earth that Suh falls to #5.

I'd be shocked if the Lions dont take him. They can always grab an OT at 34.

If KC were smart, they'd grab Berry at 5 and go OL in round 2.

I like Kindle at 22 and Gresham in Round 2.

Keep an eye on Brandon Spikes. He had a horrid 40 time but we're not looking for track stars, we're looking for football players and that dude could play.
