Interesting theory on Florida players' 40 times

If you look closely in the picture of the moon landings you can see a reflection of Ernie Adams in Neil Armstrong's face plate. Just saying.

yeah, he was holding the camera, of course!

Did i really read this post? Spikes was said to be a little slow before THE PRO DAY.. he was known for being slow, he has good instincts though soooo it wont matter that much, he just wont be able to cover. Spikes will be a Run Stuffer

Nominee for Most Absurd Thread of 2010...and that's saying something.

You know, I also believe in the Tooth Fairy and that the Moon landing was obviously faked! Sharp observations. We'll call it the Florida Fakeout! Have you gone to a reporter with this yet? You could be the football version of Deep Throat!

Mark Henderson ran a snow plow over the track the previous day.

Both Spikes and Cunningham ran poorly at their Pro days. Spikes clocked in at over 5 seconds and Cunninham was clocked in over .20 worse than a previous time. Cunningham even tripped and fell down at the end of his run.

Both players were obviously on the Patriots radar.

Both players played under Meyer who has a great relationship with Belichick and therefore would have known they were on the Patriots radar.

With three 2nd round picks, the Patriots had the ammo to grab both at a point in the draft both would be happy with.

My point? Well, let me put it this way.

If two players wanted to be picked by the Patriots, one way to increase the odds of such an outcome would be to deliberately tank their workouts in front of other scouts and then show their stuff to BB and the rest of the Patriots scouts.

It turns out that the Patriots did not attend their pro days but instead worked them out privately the very next day. Coincidence?

I just find it hard to believe that Spikes really runs a 5+ forty. The guy plays a heck of a lot faster than that. And Cunningham falling down.....Hmmm, makes me wonder.

Belichick's new nickname should be Slim Shady..... And I completely LOVE it!

);p

wtf? Why would Spikes, Meyer, or Cunningham agree to that? This is stupid.

No, the field was crappy, and their times suffered, and that was a shame for them but it worked out pretty well for us, I'd say. That's it.

Re: Interesting Theory on Fla Players 40 times

No conspiracy needed, the field conditions at that pro day were widely reported to be dreadful.

:agree:

I highly doubt Meyer and the Florida players conspired to make less money and tank their pro days so that they could go to NE.

And yet, a careful reading of Revelation reveals that the Beast had "12 heads, of which three were compensatory selections..." A lot of time the koine text is mistranslated so you don't see that part...
