This season and last season combined, only one other NFL player has had 2 Ints, and a sack in the same game. Charles Woodson did it last year, when he won the AP NFL defensive player of the year award in 2009.

Anyone know who the last NFL linebacker to do it was ?

Ted Bruschi???

Mike Vrabel????

Willie McGinest?????

Anyone else see how he used his hands like a veteran receiver to snag those balls? I was quite impressed by that little display of pass-catching technique.

Really! For all those folks saying it was Henne's lame-brained pass, they should look at those catches. On the second one, he flew through the air and laid out for the ball like a WR. Chung's INT was a gimme. Nink's 2nd pick was anything but.

(of course, Chung's TWO blocked kicks weren't exactly routine!)

Nink earned his undisputed role as starter for the next game.

He did play tight end in HS and caught a couple TDs as a goalline TE at Purdue...

Someone on the post-game show was saying "something tells me he [Chung] is getting a game ball right about now."

My gut says it's a team game ball... but how much would it suck for Ninkovich to have that game and have it go to Chung? LOL... or vice versa.

While i thought it was a great game for ninkovich(And will remove the term stinkovich for now and i reserve to reinstate it if deemed necessary)

I wouldn't get to high on this him, he played great once again. But prior to this game he has been awful and he needs to perform more consistently before he is lathered with praises or called the next great pats lb. JMO

I thought he was the worst starter in the NFL... :bricks:

Ninkovich: You cant stop him. Other teams only hope to contain him!

It was a great effort game by him. Hoping to see more!

Good job for Nink. Maybe he can quiet the doubters for just one game.

Ninko will have a monster season after they bye too, I am sold on him being legit.

Last week some were calling him STINK-o-vich...I was saying he wasn't that bad and defended him! Hooray for Ninkovich!

Ninko up the point where he got his first INT was getting dominated on the run. Just getting blown up out of play consistently allowing Ricky and Ronnie to run the outside for 7-8 yards a pop. As long as he cannot maintain the edge he is a liability on running downs.

That being said he's a decent pass rusher and seems to be a very good coverage LB with great hands. I think the coaching staff needs to put him in a position to succeed and play him on passing downs. Just don't ask him to hold his ground and set the edge.

Problem is none of our OLBs are particularly great run stoppers. I think TBC gets a bad rap for it, but he's not great by any means. Cunningham is still learning, and like you said, Ninko hasn't shown great things against the run either. I think it's one of those things that has to be based on matchups, and in the absence of a clear mismatch, you just rotate those three guys and take your lumps.

Back on topic, very unexpected and impressive game for Ninkovich. Not just the 2 picks and the sack, but he had a few more pressures that led to bad throws or short gain dumpoffs. Great game!
