Feeling good when others feel Bad...Steeler misery

After Brady got his leg ripped apart in 08......they showed footage of Steeler bars erupting when the news hit about Brady's ACL injury. That sight will stick in my mind forever.

The Steelers fan base can't suffer enough for my tastes.

Typical Chargers fan, confusing sympathy with pity... Seahawks got robbed, but they were their own worst enemy aside from the officials in the process. Cardinals got more than they deserved in even getting to the dance. Chargers are perennial overhyped frauds who have yet to earn a damn thing. Kind of like a west coast version of the JETS....

yes they may be overhyped . . . however truth be told in that 2006 Divisional game they came very close to beating the Pats, but for a key play by Troy Brown, altho i think we could of still pulled out the game had he not stripped the ball . . . the Chargers were undisciplined in that game but did get one tough unnecessary roughness call when both a pats player and charger player were going at it . . .

I to this day feel that had the Chargers beaten us that day, they could have beaten the colts at home (SD has had indy numbers the last few years) and went on to beat the Bears and would of had one SB . . . So the Chargers canme very close to a SB win and in no small part, IMO, the colts win in 2006 was partly due to the fact that we knocked off the chargers the week earlier, then went into Indy as a tired and sick WC team . . .

Thanks, that is the word. Fitting of the Germans to coin the perfect word for that situation.

Schadenfreude Baby, Schadenfreude
...... its a Beautiful Thing. :rocker:

Correction on that footage -- actually was Steeler fans applauding as Big Ben abused another waitress at TGIF in downtown Pitt.

no sympathy for teams like NE or pitt when they lose

because they've already got multiple lombardis

i feel sorry for the cards and seahawks ...those types (and my chargers)

Around the NFL, the Cowboys, Pats, and Steelers are the most hated teams.

Read Peter King's SI column this morning blaming Mendenhall as the main guy who lost this game for Pittsburgh. That was a huge moment but isn't Ben the bigger scapegoat for this loss? His TD pass to Collins was the biggest error in the game IMO and his other INT also led to 7 points.
I agree, if somebody is going to play the blame game for the loss, the finger pointing has to be directed at Roethlisberger ten times more than at Mendenhall. The fumble was just as much, if not more of that being a great play by Matthews than a mistake by the Steeler RB. On the other hand Roethlisberger made a lot of bad passes and poor decisions over the course of the game.

We got to watch the Steelers and Colts lose back to back Superbowls in heartbreaking fashion. Doesn't get much better than that besides the Patriots winning, of course. Plus the Steelers are old as all hell, lets see if they can rebound from this one.

Yep, and they were right there to rub it in after 07. This whole bantering back and forth with the Colt,Steeler and Jet fan is getting old.

My 16 year old said they should change their name from the Stealers to the Givers with all the TOs yesterday

Florio said that yesterday, immediately after the game. Press box consensus?
Really missed the point that he should have gotten the ball a lot more.
Instead of Ben backing into the end zone to throw a pick 6, for example.

Well, here is some beauty that deserves more admiration.

This does not quite rival "leave brittney alone". But it will do, for now.

No doubt, I'm enjoying this. I'm usually not a big "rub it in" guy.

But, for a fan base that LOVES to dish it out, but hates to get it back.

Yeah, its a good day.

i loved when big ben walked off the field talking to the refs
