not sure where the rules come that if your tv is slower than the internet you cant talk about it until someone says so... just sayin. we are on an internet form.

Its just common courtesy. Usually the picks get out on twitter a minute or two before hand and it really takes away the suspense of the pick being announced as opposed to reading words on a message board.

It's killer for sure.
Killing our SB hopes. Quantity never out-performs quality.
Considering where we've been drafting #17, #28, #33 et al I think we've actually lost ground with this draft. Lots of roster filler. Last year was a freak of nature. This draft looks much more the typical BB drafts.
This has been a very disappointing draft.

Agreed, this was yet ANOTHER throw away draft for BB. 2010 was what they should do EVERY year, not once ever 5 or 6 years. 2010 was the first and only draft I enjoyed since 2004. 2011, a D- so far. I'm thinking the only thing going through BB's mind is that both Ty Warren and Mike Wright (he did have 6 sacks in half a season) will be 100% healthy and give us a pass rush, along with a possibly improved Jermaine Cunningham. The NFL Draft is like a holiday for me, I love it, but I had to laugh at BB's reluctance to draft high level talent. He certainly does things differently than most of us wish he did, hopefully they work out. Maybe I'll take the next few drafts off, I have a bald spot from all the head scratching.

Vereen looks like a guy who can play all downs.
BB has always preferred to have 2 RBs who split time and a 3rd down back to go with them.
Dillon/Maroney started it and the acquisitions of Morris, Taylor, etc had that in mind IMO.
When all were healthy, he seemed to like the idea best of alternating the top 2 by every few series.
You end up with 2 guys get 150-200 carries. That seems to be the perfect role for Vereen, who can also stay on the field on 3rd down.
He looks to be the fastest, quickest back we have had in a while.

I've noted that the NFL has shifted to the 2RB system a few seasons ago. The day of the single back doing it all and carrying the ball 350 times is over. That just wears them out too quick. Vereen is the perfect complement to BJGE's power. Not only is he an explosive run threat who can threaten the edges, fake out a few defenders, but he can also cut it up inside and squeeze into the endzone if need be.

Vereen's catching and pass blocking prowess are possibly his best assets for the Pats offense. He's like an extra receiver for Brady who can take a poorly defended screen or outlet pass to the house. I don't see how anyone who likes OFFENSE can't be excited about the Vereen pick.

Well... would you rather be the jets? 1 pick through 66 picks as of now

would you rather have

Solder, Vareen and dowling or Wilkerson?

LOL

All I know is I don't want Mark Sanchez beating us in the playoffs ever in my life again.

I can see vareen being a foster type guy but not the great rusher. Actually now that i think of it... How about a poor man's reggie bush?

I have 7 binkies left, shows you how much I know. Or does it mean I am a genious?

A drop from 60 to 73 only nets a 5th rounder?

So, to recap the first 2 rounds for the Patriots:

Started with 17, 28, 33, 60.

End with: Three players (picked at 17, 33, 56), pick 73, pick 138, and 2012 Saints first rounder.

Did I miss anything?

Can I possibly introduce you to a team known as the 2001 New England Patriots?

Another season of Ninkovich and Tully!!!! brilliant bb

Really! Put in an application. I'm sure you'll get a lot of recommendations here...............

You mean the guy who ran around in the pocket with no pressure on him all day and threw a hail mary after running around for ten seconds. Wouldn't it be nice to put some presure on him???????

Unfortunately there isn't always instant gratification with the draft. I'm pissed too that my pass rushing binkies have been passed over, but all we can do is wait and see the results on the field before we pass judgement.

Justin Houston to the Chiefs. Thanks.
