Markell Carter, OLB small school Central Arkansas...This pick screams sleeper

He's a super-sleeper. NFL.com's draft tracker doesn't even know his height or weight.

He's the holy grail that this board has been waiting for, forever. Or at least, since Lawrence Taylor.

Stupid.

Why not draft Herzlich who has a higher upside instead of some assshole who wont make the roster?

Calling someone an aszhole because you don't like the pick?

My the Lynch Mob is out today!!

Finally! Our missing OLB! Markell Carter.

Yeah, but can he rush the passer?

Wait..... He actually might be able to Wooo Hooooo

I actually think BB at this point is just thumbing through PatsFans in the warroom right now. This was his gift to Keiser Sore (et all). :singing:

he's 5'3" ,145 pounds...the Pats will pump him with growth hormones and move him in with Big Vince...voila!...Pro Bowl!!

Pretty decent size. He looks a little slow off the snap, and his agility numbers are very average, but he's got great explosion based on his jumps. I'm intrigued to see what he does here. :)

Height: 6043
Weight: 252
40 Yrd Dash: 4.70
20 Yrd Dash: 2.74
10 Yrd Dash: 1.71
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 17
Vertical Jump: 35 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'01"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.45
3-Cone Drill: 7.43

If he's fast enough, maybe he can take Tracy White's spot on the roster as the ST ace and further develop while contributing in that area.

I have no idea who Carter is. I'm just glad the Pats used the pick. :D

So people were complaining about no pass rushers. Now the Pats take someone with close to prototypical size (he may me a few lbs light in the pants at the moment), length, and speed for a BB OLB in Markell Carter, yet people are going to complain it wasn't the OLB they wanted them to take.

I think I've finally come to grips that people are just going to complain no matter what happens. Even when its in the sixth round when most of these guys may not even make the roster (although I do think that Carter can surprise some people).

Well, was she hot?

Just to be clear—does this actually matter?

The same that wanted QB Gino Carmazzi picked in the mid rounds in 2000

LOL.

Carter is a good player. Seems to be really popular with UCA fans. The common feeling seemed to be that he stood out in every game and took them over at times. Also a team captain. I don't know what kind of competition he went up against, but it doesn't sound like a bad pick in the 6th round.
