Feel bad for Wes but can't disagree. That was the game.

The offense just never shows up against these fools.

that is absolutely ridiculous to put this on wes because it's one play you pick out of the pile.

how about the safety?
how about the pick?
how about the 12 men on the field/
etc

and while we're at it, how about crediting a great giants team that also took out green bay and san fran instead of making excuses for ourselves?

I blame Ted Ginn for not being in the Niner game. But he was traded to the Niners by the Dolphins. However, if he was drafted where he was supposed to go he might not be with the Niners now and they would have had a reliable PR.

Somehow, this is all Cam Cameron's fault for drafting The Ginn Family with the 9th or 10th pick!

Re: Once again... for the 5th time... CAN WE GET A PASS RUSH PLEASE???!

Are people saying there was a pass rush in the 4th quarter? I was drunk, but honestly don't remember a single pressure other than Ninko on the offsides. There were no sacks. Vince was just doubled into oblivion.

+1. Definitely one of the big difference-makers. You can count the number of times Eli was really pressured on one hand. D-line pass rush was non-existent, and NY easily picked up the blitzes Patricia dialed up. In that environment it's kind of easy for a guy like Eli Manning to win the game.

I hated the playcalling in this game. Not enough running. I'm sick of the 5 wide empty backfield when running and running down the clock makes so much more sense. Hopefully this will get fixed next season.

I'm with you there. I cursed under my breath when I saw an empty backfield called a bunch of times.

Mankins was easily the Oscar winner on the OL again tonight. Oddly he just said they pass protected well and run blocked pretty good and he chuckled during his interview which better have been guilty nerves. Guys who aren't personally accountable really annoy me, especially in superbowls. I know they win and lose as a team, but Welker stepped up in his presser... Gronk is insisting he was 100% and just didn't make some plays. The tough guy cowboy act is wearing a little thin for me when an $8M+ LG doesn't man up in the big game and doesn't even acknowledge it after the fact.

Mankins is always my whipping boy! He makes more money than the rest of the OL COMBINED yet in big games he is always giving up the big sack!! WTF? I'd cut the guy today and split up his monies over several other players. If I pay a guy that kind of money he comes up big in big games, is a LEADER of men! Mankins is NONE of those things.

I'm a daily reader, but don't post very often. A few thoughts:

What frustrates me most is that the defense played extremely well, but was not complemented by the offense. The first 9 points can be put directly on the offense and obviously the last TD is situational. Given the playmakers' on the Giants' offense, I loved the intensity that the Def played with tonight. Reminded me of a younger version of the 2001 Pats. Adding Dowling, bringing back Carter and hopefully adding a piece through the draft of FA (Mario Williams anyone?) can help take them to the next level.

As a whole, the team got down early, but as they have done all year, was mentally strong and fought back. The stage was not too big for this young team. They had several chances to win it, but just couldn't close it out. We expect perfection on every play (the slightly off target pass to Wes or INT to Gronk), but fail to acknowledge the perfection we saw on the two drives before and after halftime.

And for those questioning whether the Brady and co. can win another SB, a month ago people were wondering whether they could win another playoff game. They'll have as good a shot as anyone next year, and that's really all you can ask for each year.

I know you are so sad lol but, No Spy Gate=No Championship. Congress even got involved with what you did. You all lost just a draft pick when the consequence should have been rings and trophies taken away from your cheating organization. A tarnished history and the end of the Patriots! Good prevailed. I love it!

Preach it bro. Go Pollard.

I strongly agree. Pete Rose was banned from baseball for betting, Belichick should have been black balled from the game of football for cheating. Congress got involved and the Patriots lost a 1st round draft pick due to cheating. It's as simple as that; they've never won an honest/legit super bowl under neither Brady or Belicheat. Looks like the Giants are to the Patriots of 2000's what the Cowboys were to the Bills during the 90's. The legacy of Tom Brady will never be the same, it's been destroyed tonight; he's now lost two SB games to Eli and the NEW YORK Giants... When it mattered the most. He's no Joe Montana.

How do you explain the Pats having a better record after Spygate than before it? I'm anxiously awaiting your response.

It's amazing how difficult it is to win in the NFL when you don't know what the defense is doing. Billy boy..Brady.. what now? Lost twice to
NY and it was a fluke that Ravens didn't represent the AFC.

If you are going to look at Wes for not making that catch you have to look at Brady in the same breadth for not making a throw good enough so that Wes did not have to leave his feet. Any journeyman pro quarterback makes that throw so that Wes did not have to leave his feet.

The biggest difference in this game was the play of Eli vs the play of Tom.

Second biggest factor in the game was the injury to Gronk.

Third biggest factor was the Giants receiver corp in general vs the Pats receiver corp. While we are at it remember the Giants lost both of their TE's.

When are we going to get a big, athletic wide-out on purpose. Moss fell into our laps and that was the only one we have had in a decade. The league turning into a passing league means you need to have one of these guys. BB seems to hate them and he needs to get over it.

I can't take this crap anymore.

That was my last game watched as a fan. I'd rather be a bad team that dosen't make it at all. Hell, if we had lost to the Ravens, and I saw that the Giants had won, I would have been relieved.

I hate the Mannings more than I hate anything in the world, especially Eli. He's good, but he's just SO lucky. Look at his final stats. Nothing great. And that team gets ALL the breaks (the two fumble recoveries.)

As someone with depression anyway, it's not mentally healthy for me to watch these games especially with the anti-Pats bias.

And as much as I hate to say it, Belichick is WAY overrated at this point in his career. What has he won since having a once in a lifetime team in the early 2000s? Coughlin owns him.

I can't place any blame on Brady. Not his best game, but he was on, and Welker should have caught that ball.

I realized, just stay away from football. The Pats are a ****tease of a team...getting THAT far, only to invent new ways to lose at the most important game of the season.

Like I said last night when I made that thread about not being able to take another heartbreaking Manning loss, I rather would have gotten blown out. I was svckered into thinking they were going to win.

And this isn't just "letting steam out." If it weren't for the pills I'm on, I'd likely be in the hospital over this. Not good for my health. Luckily, my cable is already uninstalled and going to basic cable (channels 2, 3, 5, 7 et all) tomorrow morning when the cable guy comes so don't have to hear the pats hatred and eli ballwashing.

This is singlehandedly the worst sports loss of my life, worse than 42. 42 we were outplayed completely. This game was ours for the taking if Welker makes a catch he makes 10 out of 10 times in the regular season. Don't give me that "It was a difficult catch" bs...Manningham made a much tougher catch in double coverage and he isn't half the receiver Welker is.

So adios Pats, good luck going 12-4 next year and losing in the playoffs again. No thanks.

Because the playoffs aren't the same as the regular season. Please expain how the Patriots won 3 SB's pre-spygate, but yet... haven't won a single SB post-spygate. A matter of fact, after spygate, you all lost to the Giants during the SB back in 2007. 18-1 ring a bell? The "magical season" that never was. Missed the playoffs in 2008. Lost to the Ravens during the 1st round of the playoffs back in 2009 (at home in NE). Actually got KILLED by the Ravens that game. Then, just last season, the Jets eliminated the Patriots, on the road in Foxboro, during the 2nd round of the playoffs. Then, this year, tonight, just lost another SB game. It's not easy winning SB's when you're no longer cheating ala 'knowing the other teams playbook, plays, signals' etc, etc due to a camera man: Now is it?

I have three questions. 1.) Why did Congress get involved? B.) Why did NE lose a 1st round draft pick? And 3/C; Was it due to playing fair, or was it due to CHEATING?

It's a fluke the 49ers didn't represent the NFC. Two horribly muffed punts and you're in.

See how easy it is to play this game, kids?

Re: I can't take this crap anymore.

Cya...good luck with the pills and all that.
