Peyton could not go anywhere with a tailor made offense; it took a Caldwell drop for Manning to have a chance to beat the Pats in 06.

A F'ING WIDE OPEN CALDWELL WITH HIS BULGING EYEBALLS DROPPED the ball which was in his chest and hands.....

Even with the pathetic receivers that Brady had for that year, he would have made minced meat out of the Chicago Bears who had Rex Grossman at QB.

Brady beat the overrated Chargers and already owned the match ups with the bears - ehhh.....GET THE F OUT!

Sooooo you're saying that you humbly beg to differ?

:D

Brady beat the overrated Chargers and already owned the match ups with the bears

Throwing the game-losing interception but being bailed out by an incredibly stupid play by McCree and an incredibly awesome play by Troy Brown isn't a definition of "beat" I'm used to seeing...

You mean "among Patriots fans"?

This is almost a couple of years old, but still valid, IMO.
Peyton Manning bests Tom Brady in ESPN.com's quarterback voting - ESPN

This is your proof? Really? And to say it's still valid is almost laughable. Let's not mention that a group of Brady's PEERS labelled Brady the #1 player in 2011 and #4 player in 2012. Manning's rankings those years were #2 and #50. Let's reevaluate your article for argument sake:

Who has a better deep ball?
The article says Brady, but I'll go ahead and give this Manning one because it seems to me that Brady has missed on deep throws more often than Manning over the last couple of years. Edge Manning

Who is the more accurate passer?
The article says Manning. For their careers, Brady's completion percentage is about 1% point lower, but 1% so far this season. When you factor in that Brady has played in much more difficult elements through his career, the edge goes to Brady. I believe if you look at the indoor/outdoor splits, Brady's completion percentage will be higher across the board. Edge Brady

Whom Would you want at QB to win one playoff game?
The article says Brady. This one's easy. 16-6 in the playoffs versus 9-10. This one would be tough to argue in favor of Manning. Edge Brady

Whom would you want to lead a last minute drive?
The article says Manning. Manning may have more regular season last minute drives than Brady, but that's because he finds himself behind in the fourth quarter more often. Meanwhile, Brady has led his team down the field late in the game for a go ahead score in ALL 5 SUPER BOWLS that he's played in. In two of those Super Bowls, Eli Manning pulled a horseshoe out of his ass. Edge Brady

Who is tougher for a defense to game plan for?
The article says Manning. This year, I would say Brady due to the high tempo offense the Patriots have been running. I think this is too tough to argue either way. Push

Whom will history remember as the better QB?
The article says Manning. I think he'd have to win at least one more super bowl for this to be true. But, because the media will have a big influence on how people remember these two QBs, I'll give the edge to Peyton. Edge Manning

Who is more durable?
The article says Manning because it was written before his injury. They've both missed one complete season. I think it would be hard to argue that Manning is less likely to get injured going forward. Push

Who has a stronger arm?
The article says Brady. If you've watched Peyton recently you'll see that he's lost some zip. Brady had a stronger arm then and he still does now. Edge Brady

Who is smarter?
I don't see how you can evaluate this. What is this based on. Both are extremely smart QBs. Push

Who has the best pocket presence?
The article says Brady. His pocket presence has seemed to have gotten worse since he's hurt his knee. It's close, but I'll give the edge to Manning. Edge Manning

Who is the best team leader?
Again, how you can you evaluate this objectively when you're not in the locker room. Leaders come in various forms and styles. Push

Who is more mobile?
Neither are mobile. Within the pocket, I'll take Brady, but Peyton is probably slightly better throwing on the run. Push

Who has the best throwing mechanics?
The article says Manning, but I strongly disagree. Peyton is more often unbalanced and Brady is always shown as a model for perfect throwing mechanics. Edge Brady

Who has more good years left?
The article says Manning based on Brady's knee injury. However, after Peyton's neck injury, it seems that he's much closer to the end than Brady. Brady has recently mentioned that he wants to play for 10 more years. Edge Brady

Who will make the better coach?
This has nothing to do with their abilities to play the quarterback position. Brady could be the worst coach of all-time, but that wouldn't take away from him being the best QB of all time. Push

Final Score:
Brady- 6
Manning- 3
Push- 6

I don't know if it's been pointed out all ready but as BB mentioned Manning is playing in the colts offense with a few X colts also yet somehow he escapes the system QB label.

Ignorance is bliss...

that's true Robbo...and the northwest is known for their potato varieties...Washington State University lists 575 varieties of potato grown in North America.....among all these are the ever popular ignorant and green bliss varieties...as well as the black, rotted Cobain spud....

Anyone who says Manning is better than Brady is a lying, dishonest, spiteful, envious little worm with no credibility.

Tom Brady has outperformed him a hundred fold with fewer seasons and fewer weapons, all the while playing in blizzards, rains, winds, and bone-chilling New England winter nights.

So sick of these people.
Up until 2007 it was "Manning has better stats. Rings don't matter."
Then Brady's stats were better and it became "Well, Manning has 4 league MVPs" or some other such stupid comment. The Patriots had stripped Brady of virtually all his offensive weapons in the 2006 season and yet he carried a bare-bones offense to the AFC Championship game and had the lead in the 4th quarter. Peyton shouldn't even of won a Superbowl. He's the second coming of Dan Marino.

Seriously, if you think Peyton is a better quarterback then just go die in a fire.

Saying Brady is second to that dome-quarterback choke-artist with no heart and no fire who throws his own teammates under the bus at press conferences is just an immoral statement.

You're on the wrong forum. In fact, you're in the wrong region of the country.

9-4. Go cry about it.

How can you say that for sure? And, since you obviously know more about that team than I do, why don't you tell me about how crappy that team was and how Brady carried them to the superbowl win?

Peyton Manning goes down, and the Colts are a 2-14 team. Tom Brady goes down and Matt Cassel looks like the 2nd coming of Joe Montana and goes 11-5. Really?

You do realize that the colts drafted Andrew Luck, dont you? And that the two wins came after they had locked up the #1 overall pick and were against their hated division rivals AND had direct impact on those two teams playoff seeding, in another words, once they had Luck in their back pocket they were free to rain havoc on thier division rivals by knocking one out of the playoffs and another from a first round bye . . . just saying . ..

and as for your Matt Cassell plug and play argument . . . so far this season we have the following:

Manning Record in Denver: 2-3
Tebow's Record in Denver: 7-4

So what we have above it Mark Sanchez's back-up has a better record with the same team as Mannning, just saying . . .
