Peter King :It's time to make room for Flacco in upper echelon of QBs

Hook line and sinker. The guy is a Frankenstein troll. Stop it.

Attempt ?? hmm.. is like Attempted Hands to the face.. or lemme see.. Attempted Helmet to Helmet contact ??

I think you have just made my point...

:)

Ray,

It's ok you are a troll, but at least try to be consistent. The "Brady rule" refers to hitting the QB's plant leg when a defender is on the ground. Helmet to helmet is something different.

Yes, "attempt" but failing is possible. Here are two example sentences. The Ravens attempted to win in Jan. 2012. Ray Lewis attempted to make people forget the double murder.

The moment you put that into your post, it makes responding to you on the subject a waste of time. I'm evaluating their play, not their off-the-field issues.

I evaluated their play. See above. You're not responding because you have nothing to argue what I wrote. Your basing it on SB and that argument is ludicrous since you left Eli off your list.

Off the field actions matter a lot when it comes to leadership and how can you sit here and call a QB elite that isn't a leader? You really are the worst person I interact with on this forum, 95% of what you say is based on nothing but you stubborn thoughts. Get with it dude.

What is your case for Roethlisberger?

1. He only played 16 games in a season 1 time in his career.
2. He has 2 seasons of 4000 yards and 1 season of 30+ TD in his 9 year career.
3. He has 1.76 TD to INT ratio.
4. He has 108 INT and 43 fumbles totaling 151 TO's in 127 games.

It must be that nothing says team leader like motorcycle accidents, rape accusations.

Please don't let your response be SB titles because you left Eli off your list and he has won 2 SB against a 16-0 and 12-4 Patriots team. Ben won against an 11-5 Seahawks and 8-8 Cardinals team.

Those were the softest NFC opponents other than Chicago (Grossman). Good points - I never liked that meathead.

Flacco has been pretty stellar in the playoffs recently.

Your evaluation was incomplete, and the bias displayed by your comments regarding his off-the-field activities made it meaningless.

I laughed out loud while driving listening to his drivel.

The point all these idiots are making is hilarious.

Point 1. Flacco is Joe Cool because he has won a playoff game in hist first 5 years.

End point. Brady won 3 superbowls in his first 5 year. This makes him a God in comparison.

I've been hating on this media all week. From the Brady got outplayed in the last 2 games by Flacco, to The Lee Evans so called dropped pass.

Sunday can't come soon enough I tell you. Hoping for a beat down of epic proportions.

No it was complete. But you still haven't answered my original question why did you include him?

Flacco's never even thrown for 4,000 yards in a league where 4,000 yards for a qb isn't even a great feat anymore.

so flacco is now in the convo with brady breen rodgers? sweet...awesome...so true

He says this because his team beat his demigod. How can he explain how Flacco beat Manning?

Define Echelon.
If he is a top16 QB, isn't he in the upper echelon? Or even top 10 if there is a mid level echelon.

Flacco is not bad -- he's gotten better over the last two years.
But I wouldn't use the term Elite or Top 5 on him.

Here's who I would take over him if I was building a team for the next 3 years:

Better than Flacco right now, and expect to continue to be:
Brady
Rodgers
Brees
Matt Ryan

Probably better than Flacco for the next 3 years :
Luck
RG3
Kaepernick
Russel Wilson

Tossup between Flacco and these guys:
Cam Newton
Stafford
Peyton Manning (at risk of aging quickly)
Ben Roethlisberger (at risk of continued dumbness)

is flacco a top 10 QB in your eyes? I think he is right on the edge

It's the Carson Palmer rule.

Ok, it's just my take. But here are my thoughts on QB tiers, in no particular order within the tiers:

Tier One (Elite)
Brady
Rodgers
Manning
Brees

Tier Two (Very good/Sub-elite)
Roethlisberger
RG3
Kaepernick
Stafford
Wilson
Ryan
Newton

Tier Three (Good)
Luck
Romo
Schaub
Cutler
Rivers

Tier Four (Average)
Dalton
Flacco
Palmer
Tannehill
Fitzpatrick
Vick
E. Manning
Bradford
Cassell
Freeman

Tier Five (Not Good)
Sanchez
Weeden
Locker
Ponder
Skelton
Gabbert

So, maybe you COULD move Flacco into the next tier, but three weeks ago, most people would have agree that he wasn't a top 15 QB. But what 22 NFL QBs are below Flacco for him to be a Top 10? And Top 10 isn't elite. Top 5 is elite, so who among RG3, Kaepernick, Stafford, Big Ben, Wilson, Ryan, or Newton would you wanna replace with Joe Flacco?

Wow, I thought he was much better than those numbers show. 151 TO's in 127 games ?!? Just, wow!

Ok, it's just my take. But here are my thoughts on QB tiers, in no particular order within the tiers: ...

RG3 and KAP may not be around long with their style of play, or may be hurt a lot like Vick. I think Flacco is up a tier and if he plays well and wins this week he could be moved to very good

Difficult for me to rank the QB's individually, but the guys I would all rank ahead of Flacco are Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Peyton, Ryan, Big Ben, RGIII, Luck, Newton, Eli, Wilson, Stafford, Romo, Cutler, and Kaepernick. Now you're in the Rivers/Vick/Schaub/Dalton/Freeman group and Flacco is somewhere in there. Not exactly upper echelon.
