I agree that it's the loudest members of a religion that get noticed by society. The difference is the loudest Christians are singing in choirs and the loudest muslims are screaming Allahu Ackbar! and blowing kids up running marathons.

Do you have any idea of the precision of the universe? Take one
constant and change it just very very very small amount and there is
no universe But there is more than one constant that can't be changed.

There are two facts here:
(1) We exist.
(2) If the parameters of the Universe were slightly different, we would not exist.

Those two facts do not conclusively prove, or disprove, the existence of God.

If you want to believe that these two facts are evidence that God created the Universe, and that the Universe did not begin with the Big Bang, that is your right.

If PatJew (or anyone else) wants to believe that these two facts do not constitute evidence that God exists, that is his/their right.

Personally, I believe that the Universe was created in the Big Bang, but also that the existence of the Big Bang does not require denying the existence of God. That is my right.

I won't deny that there are Muslims in this world who want to impose Shari'a as law, but assuming all Muslims (or even the majority of American Muslims) are "jihadists" who want to impose Shari'a on the United States is about as accurate as saying all Christians share the beliefs of the Westboro Baptist Church.

OP, I suspect if you were of any other faith beside Islam, you would have had absolutely no problems in this thread. So ignore the prejudice and ignore the ignorance. I was raised a Catholic and I have not practised for a very long time. But I do practice tolerance, thanks to having two wonderful parents who taught me to respect people of all religions. So peace be upon you dude and enjoy your festivities.

That's Islam all over. I work with many Muslims and since I started at my place of work three years ago, I've learned a lot about the religion itself and Muslim society and values.

It is a wonderful religion and people like Nab display the very best it has to offer.
