The Verdict Is In

Trading Lester is a bad idea unless they're not going to re-sign him -- which I also think is a bad idea (depending, obviously, on the particulars). He'll be expensive, but he's a proven 1/2 starter who's been with the club his whole career.

Trading Lackey is a bad idea unless they get quite a haul, given how cheap he is next year.

I like our pitching prospects, but they often take time, and it would be a lot easier for them to play roles behind Lester, Lackey and Buchholz than to have be relied on for success in the absence of Lester and Lackey.

I just listened to a report on 98.5 the sports hub that the sox have traded lackey to the cardinals. no details yet. the redsox really wear me out. I guess we are a small market team now?

Allen Craig and Joe Kelly? I am underwhelmed.

2 wins for the A's since the trade with a 3 hit shutout last night. Doubt this guy is coming back very seriously.

3. Change his setting and environment and he still performs up to ace potential.
