Patriots won 3 out of 4 SuperBowls (2001, 2003, 2004) but have failed to win a SuperBowl since Logan Mankins was drafted in 2005.

Before Mankins was drafted, the Brady/Belichick led Patriots were a perfect 10-0 in the post-season and had the longest post-season winning streak of all time.... The same season Mankins was drafted, the Brady/Belichick combo lost their first ever playoff game.

Since Mankins was drafted, the Patriots have had arguably better teams(2007) than their SuperBowl years. However they've lost 3 conference championships and 2 SuperBowls. They've been so close to getting that 4th ring. That 4th ring that would cement Brady as the premier QB of all time and would forever end the Brady/Manning debate. That 4th ring that would shut up all the spy-gate haters.

Don't get me wrong. Mankins was/is a great player. But the Pats haven't won a SB since he's been on the team. I call it the Curse of Mankins. Now that he's gone, the Patriots will finally get that elusive 4th ring.

In Mankins first year in the league, the longest winning streak ever, which was held by the Patriots over the course of 2 seasons, was snapped.

The Patriots also never won with Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Nate Solder, Sebastian Vollmer, etc.

They're all cursed.

In fact, the only team that's even won a superbowl since the 2013 draft is the Seahawks, I think that was a cursed draft class, outside of their guys.

A healthy Gronk and a few unlucky plays away from having 6 ...

Nothing to do with Mankins ....

Look, I'm a big fan of this trade, but you are 100% wrong with that statement.

The Patriots' 21 game win streak was halted in October 2004 in Pittsburgh (Ty Law's last game as a Pat)

Valiant attempt to be funny, but it failed badly. Please try again.

If Brady and Bridget never broke up, we'd have five rings. Yeah, I said it.

If Eli never stuck a horseshoe up his ass, we would have 5 rings.

i call it the curse of the gisele......should have stayed with bridget.....they seemed like a real couple......with ups and downs......the bundchens seem too "Hollywood"......i bet she keeps his testicles in a glass jar......and lets him look at them when he's been a good boy (and the toilets are clean)

if poking fun at Brady is against the rules.......i apologize in advance

I ain't afraid of no ghost!

Meh.

The only curse I want to see in action is the one that continues to affect the JESTS. :D

No effort needed there, they curse themselves with idiot owners, idiot GM's, and a DC as a HC...

Mankins was part of the solution and not the problem.

Yup. I'm going to watch the Thursday night opener, only because I'm jonesing for more football. It'll help take off some of the antsyness while waiting for the 7th.

I'm also hoping that the Sea Chickens get their comeuppance, though they're likely to win.
