Insufferable Crybabies (Felger/Mazz)

I hate to say it, but Felger and Mazz were spot on. I have been very pro Brady, pro Belichick and pro Patriots in general. But the signs are there. I don't think Brady has been happy with what has taken place with the personnel decisions this team has made over the past couple years...and when you couple that with the drafting of Garropolo that high, not doing much in the way of adding offensive help in the draft or through free agency, trading Mankins, losing coaches, and LOSING...largely due to bad offensive line play...then you have those tensions and frustrations come out even more.

Now, do I think it's enough to derail this team? No. But, if we continue to lose games and play poorly (unlike last night of course)...then who knows what will happen.

I don't think Brady has been up to standard this year- or last to be honest. Even last night he missed some throws that he even had time on. But I think he can still be elite...especially if he has playmakers and a top offensive line, which he doesn't really. They should be and should have been trying to make the most out of the end of his career. Garropolo shouldn't see the field until 2017 at the earliest, if the Patriots do things right. That may be wishful thinking....but the bottom line is you're kidding yourself if you don't think there's been some tension. Collinsworth even said in the broadcast how shocked he was how many reps Jimmy G was getting in practice with the first team.

Certainly not a bad Day for Tommy but I think he is still capable of better much better. He missed a few guys here and there and one in particular to Edelman probably should have been an INT. But Brady's much better is next level type stuff to watch and last night was a very good performance.
IMO one of the best things from last night was that it was a performance more in line with what we are used to and there still seems like plenty of room for improvement. Brady missed a few, Gronk dropped a few, our best WR had like 30 yards, still a lot of penalties, and STs turnover aside the coverage units are usually better. But I am not trying to nitpick that was a great game in all phases and the key now is to consistantly start playing like that and even clean up the other areas and get better.

One of my favorite parts of the game was seeing replays of how big the pocket was around Brady. My first thought was "that pocket is bigger than Brady's living room". Looks liek the O-line is going to be fine. Buffalo will be a very good test to be sure this will continue.

Felger did give out a shout out to us over here at patsfans though!

Anyone else hear it?

Ya I thought I heard it but wasn't really paying attention so I thought he was just referring to all Patriots fan forums in general.

Well he was being condescending about it. Pretty much said Collinsworth was being a Pats honk. Felt like he was reading barstool sports, Or reading something at Patsfans.com.

Also goes to show he doesn't roam around here much, cuz if he did, He would have seen the **** storm here last week

Absolutely agree!! REAL Patriot fans need to read Michael Silver's article and keep in mind that Silver is a Brady guy. Anyone who thinks TB will be here when he's 40 is crazy.
This will not end well and we're seeing the beginning of that process with all these commentaries from Steve Young, Trent Dilfer, Chris Mortenson, etc. Where there is smoke (and lots of it) there is fire....

Remember, Mike Silver is a BRADY guy.

Yup he said if I want to deal with crap I will go to the fan forum.

Then his sidekick quickly changed the subject to twitter, and they fondled each other under the table.

just out of curiosity.....why did Faurier think that?
To say that Brady didn't have "that good of a game" is utter nonsense. He might not have chucked 4 TDs, he might not have been precisely on the money on every throw, but it was one of Brady's best performances in a while. Consider that it was against a Bengals defense that absolutely kicked our butts last year.

I think he had a very good game passing the ball but also the fire he played with just seemed to revitalize an offense that has been MIA for weeks. Everyone on offense was playing their hearts out and it was beautiful. TB12 deserves a lot of credit.

Funny how one win proves the media had it all wrong?
The soothing sounds of hearing what you want to hear.

Ahhh... the condescending snitting rolls downhill..

The big media dogs Collinsworth and Michaels snub the Boston media for being sensationalizing, microGMing twits.

So our local Big Fish/Small Pond sensationalist, microGMing twits feel the need to snub even smaller fish.. ie us forum posters.

And now having found out I've just been snubbed, I will now go yell bad dog at my Australian shepherd.

But you know why the likes of Felger and Mazz hate Patsfans.com? -Its because they don't have the power to drop a caller and then proceed to argue their points on the air without any counter argument from them for the next 10 minutes.

He can be a Brady guy all he wants. He isn't Brady. Besides his whole article leads up to the point that if the Pats don't win this year it will either be Belichick or Brady going after this year.

Sorry don't buy that at all.

Besides this was the guy that said there was a growing disconnect between Brady and the Pats in contract talks only for him to be signed to a 4-year $72-million contract extension making him the highest paid player at the time.

Michael Silver wrote that?

In that case I'll take it for a grain of salt.

railed on is probably better..."ran the train on" is probably the best. Collinsworth even quoted the famous Mark Twain line "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated" when referring to the media attacking Brady's "failing/diminshing" skills.
I'm pretty sure that was Al Michaels who said the Twain reference. Could be wrong.

Yea I don't get that, a guy called with points not even attacking them, then they dropped his call and dissed him behind his back only to proceed to dry jerk each other on air.

I was like really? Who pays for these guys to flex like this?
