Seahawks look scary

I'm actually not only taking the Jets game into consideration when saying this. The Jets game is what it is. We had moving pieces along the OL, had trouble running the ball in critical moments, and Smith was finding holes in the zone all day long. The game plan was horrible. I'm speaking from a quantitative standpoint. We've all seen how this offense can be slowed down if you take out one of Gronk or Edelman. We really have nobody else who is an absolute game changer at the position outside of those two. We've all seen what happens to this offense if the opposing defense can apply pressure using 4 rushers. Seattle can do both to us, even at full health. Our biggest hope would be slowing them down on defense as well but, given the fact that Wilson is the most mobile quarterback in the NFL and that Belichick sometimes likes to go full ****** when it comes to defending mobile quarterbacks, coupled with the fact that Wilson is accurate, I would say that Seattle would end up winning this one. Possibly quite comfortably. And so what they've completely shut down bad quarterbacks? A good defense is supposed to do that.

My issue is not that it could happen. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Seattle held the Pats to the teens. My issue is that you seem to accept it as a foregone conclusion, and I simply don't understand how a person can count Brady and Belichick out. To say that that tandem has no chance to score 20+ against anyone is asinine. And I'm not going to get into the mobile QB gameplan argument again, we've hashed that one to death.

neutral site? a lot less scary IMO

You mean a stadium like university of phoenix stadium, where the seahawks dominated? Where's the super bowl being played again? Oh yeah

have you not seen the last few years playoffs exits ..? its normally the offense that doesn't show up for whatever reason ..

This conversation is a little early anyway, let's see how Seattle does next week and how NE does against the buffalo defense, I'm waiting it out to see how next week goes.

Not only that NE isn't in the SB yet, they have some tough games coming, next week, maybe the steelers next or Cincy again, or Balt, then Denver maybe, shoot those are all tough games and NE is still three games form going to a SB and there are good teams with the same intention.

And as we all know, because something happened in the past, it's guaranteed to happen in the future. Again, my issue with this thread (not the creator, but some of the people within it) is that they're not saying what could happen or even what is likely to happen, they're saying flat out, "If the Pats face the Seahawks in the Super Bowl, they won't score more than 17 points." It's silly to feel that certain before the playoffs even start.

Seattle is not out of the woods yet. They still have to beat the rams on sunday, and STL knocked off denver for us a few weeks ago.

Seattle would be tough. They look like the better team right now and what people aren't talking about so much is Russell Wilson. I can't stand the guy....but I could just see it killing our offense once we get them into 3rd and longs and 2nd and longs and he just finds a way to scramble for the first. We'd have to have speedster Jamie Collins spy on him the entire game and stopping the run would be the most important thing.

We're just fans. It's fun to look ahead at a hypothetical matchup.

If the Pats reach the SB, the Seahawks will be there waiting for us. People are kidding themselves if they think a team with the #1 D, homefield, and Wilson isn't reaching the SB. So if we win the next 3 games, we'll know who we're facing.

The only hope for the NFC is if the Rams can play spoiler next week. It is a divisional game so who knows.

I think it's clear SEA is the class of the NFC at the moment, but let's also not overrate this win considering Arizona is on their 3rd string quarterback. Seattle SHOULD blow them out frankly. Arizona are the definition of a paper tiger (with a bit of it due to the injuries).

Against what QB again? and what team?

Best thing about my man Wilson et. al. being in the SB is that in the off chance that Denver makes it, Manning's losing legacy is guaranteed. Pick 6 redux!

That would be the only thing good about it.
I like Wilson too. He is a money player.
Pats would be 3-6 point underdogs to Seattle.

I would only put much stock in the Pats' performance next week if they have not clinched HFA after tonight. (By my understanding, if Denver loses, we have HFA, right?) If next week's game is for pride alone, I could see resting some guys for the whole game or all but a few plays.

'07 Giants only needed 17.
The '14 Jets almost got away with 16 yesterday.
Seattle scores more than 20 points you lose.

Without Wendell Connolly Stork that O Line is a horror show and will never stand up to a team like Seattle they way they are playing.

Well, at least this comes from the voice of reason. I don't know why we are worrying, they will be lucky to go 8-8 with this suckhole team anyways so why are we talking about the Super Bowl?

I'm sure it will be your Bronco's Super Team against Seattle anyways.

Anything could still happen. Someone could get hurt. This goes for every team.

That said, I'm annoyed that the Seahawks seem to be back in form. They seemed to having locker room troubles and "Beast Mode" just seems to do whatever the hell he wants, on and off the field. That was supposed to be a distraction and this is the result?? Talk about a lucky team.

I realize it was against a bad QB, but the premise of your post was that they are not as good a team away from seattle. They were dominant on the road yesterday. period.
