Agreed. It's ridiculously fake. "OK, now hyperventilate and make it look like you're really upset."

It's just like the NFL to take us all for idiots. They should start with a disclaimer -- This commercial is intended for Jets fans only.

I completely agree. For one thing, why is Hilary Swank standing there too upset to talk? Is that supposed to represent her as an abused woman? Because if not, I can't understand why everyone just stands around all red-eyed and sniffly. Chris Carter straight up needed Visine.

And, of course, some sad clown hits that with a dislike...
Sorry if this is a stupid question but my brain's a little slow today. Is your previous comment referring to domestic abuse being geared negatively towards men and not accounting for what women may have to do with it? I'm not trying to turn this thread into some madhouse with this comment and just looking for clarification.

It actually could be interpreted as all those people either being abusers themselves or victims.

"No more.... It's just a broken nose, she'll get over it."

"No more... The kids were going to eventually wake up anyway."

"No more... It's how things worked in 15,000 B.C."

Who writes these commercials? Whoever it is... No more.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ren-sanders-details-casino-elevator/21463233/

USA TODAY wrote a story from the perspective of the Ravens team’s actions.

They include this email from NFL exec to Goodell after meeting with Ravens GM:

“I spoke with [Ravens GM] yesterday. Agrees that it is bad... [Ravens GM] promised to keep me in the loop with any information they get.

They also quote this from the report:

"The Ravens possessed this information and well understood that the events inside the elevator were under League investigation. They should have shared with the League information critical to its investigation.

Hopefully Karma comes and kicks them in the ass on saturday and the Patriots blow them out!!

I don't buy this for a second. Ravens being made to take the fall to attempt salvage the NFLs image. Gotta protect the shield.

They're choked up talking about this very serious issue. That's what it's supposed to be.

Could well be so.
But if the Ravens escape w/o meaningful sanctions as I fully expect, their owner did far better than Bob "May I please have another?" Kraft when he supposedly took one for the league keeping silent after Goodell's Spygate rampage.

Expulsion from the league is the only option. :p

Seriously, at minimum and if true, it should be a loss of their first round pick and a mammoth fine. The Patriots did not attempt to cover up anything.

suggs is another punk who beats women.
the ravens are a classless organization. dont see how anyone outside of that ****hole in baltimore would cheer for that team.

I know!!! These are the ones that really make me mad. I need a little back story here. Don't just show me an actress crying and then say "DON'T ABUSE PEOPLE!" Well, okay? How does that enforce their message? How does Carter looking like he just smoked a fat one make me think "Oh gosh, I hit my wife all the time, but now I'm definitely gonna stop, because Chris Carter looks blazed."

When I see

"No more 'but it's only nagging, and he just won't listen.'"

"No more 'But I'm a small woman, and he's a man, so he can take it.'"

instead of "No more acting like anything approaching a male human being"

type commercials, I'll take that stuff a bit more seriously.

This thread is about covering up a video of a huge dude knocking out a woman.
The league wants to mitigate the PR hit with feel good commercials, which is transparent but understandable.
But why would PSAs aimed at stopping women from nagging make you find these pathetic ads aimed at not beating your wife/GF more persuasive?

wait a minute...you people actually PAY ATTENTION to ads on TV?

pay attention to THIS---------------->

The same hysteria lives on today backed by the multibillion dollar a year pharmaceutical concerns using "partnership for a drug free America" fronts as their ludicrous catspaws. Millions upon miullions of young Americans, lives RUINED by this revolting, disgusting, heinous "war"...pay attention to THAT when they run another one of their preposterous ads. Understand this...big money will do ANYTHING to protect ITS' interests, whether it be the murderous "legal" drugs foisted on us the past 75 years hiding behind these ridiculous ad campaigns or the bleating denials of corporate sports billionaires. Same as it ever was...

I dunno, J. White women under the influence having sexual relations with entertainers is pretty serious stuff.

What is truly amazing is that Anslinger's testimony was accepted as gospel truth...BEFORE THE UNITED STATES LEGISLATURE!!!!

and today, the sports multi-pire just rubber stamps this ludicrous "report" as if no one was watching what had just transpired. The arrogance is beyond astounding.

The NFL takes us all for idiots and it really is tremendously condescending (although the report got high marks in New Jersey).

Don Shula. Paging Mr. Don Shula.

Here's some actual dodgy behavior.

Ravens and their fans are the scum of the league. Even the Jets aren't that bad.
