Other fans actually admiring Beleichick's brazeness

Unreal. Just when you thought the dumbest and most gullible fans in the NFL resided in NY, Baltimore, and Indy a quick visit over to Seahawks.NET exposes a fair number of their posters to be equally as dumb with the stuff I'm reading in a thread titled with "Belicheat" in it. Some of them are even rubbing the nuts of one poster pretending to be a Patriot's fan and saying that he has had enough of the cheating and will no longer root for them in the Superbowl to protest. What a bunch of "nubs".

I understand your frustration, but in this case it appears that it's brought on by ourselves. We would probably be saying the same things if similar allegations came out about the Seahawks. I think the negativity of other fans is to be expected. I won't let it ruin my Super Bowl experience though.

Look, I see where you are coming from, and I somewhat agree with you, but we should also point out our own hypocrisy in doing so (yes, myself included). After all, this 'cutting corners" and "bending rules" that we are right now condoning and futhermore praising, aren't they the same reason we have outwardly vilified players such as Barry Bonds and AROD?

People hated bonds because he was a brash ******* and people hated Arod because he's an entitled little *****. If we want to hate athletes for PEDs, then I guess we should hate every pro athlete.

At this point I am hardly frustrated by it. I am more entertained by it because of the fact that people's true colors show when they have a chance to pounce on something as meaningless as this and turn it into a circus. I do however believe that the Pats, or at least some of them will use this as an additional form of motivation to create an "us against the world" mentality in the locker room which can only be advantageous in this case.

So by my count that's is now THREE Patriots Super Bowls with headlines that are outside of the actual Super Bowl matchup........

SB 31 - The big story was Parcells - will he stay? will he go? will he be able to shop for his own groceries?

SB 42 - Spygate resurfaces, this time it's all about whether or not the Ram's practices were taped.

SB 49 - Deflate - gate, Pats suspected of tampering with balls in AFCCG.
Give an honorable mention to the Chuck Fairbanks fiasco in the 1978 divisional round.

It goes further than just balls with 2psi difference. I've heard four players cleats are 7/64ths of an inch longer than the league maximum increasing friction by .06 percent. Also Blount had his shirt untucked reducing his drag coefficient by .061.
Oh, and he had a practice that ran 46 seconds over the league maximum.

Can you believe the balls on this guy? It's like he's playing with 15 guys on offense.

It's the 1999 season. Your team just finished in last place in your division. Heading into the new millennium, you're faced with two options:

Option 1: Stay the course. Hire a conservative head coach. Continue your downward trend. Remain an afterthought as an NFL franchise, but respected by the media and other teams' fans because your team is no threat to them. Be cheered as a scrappy underdog who eventually gets beaten by a superior team anyway. Repeat the process every year.

Option 2: Say to hell with that, hire a coach who ends up being the greatest of all-time, a guy who pushes the envelope, and then draft a QB who is the greatest of all-time. Win a crapload of games, including the only 16-0 regular season in NFL history, 12 division titles, 6 conference titles, and 3, maybe 4 Super Bowl titles. Piss a lot of people off in the process. Forfeit a first round draft pick because your commish is an imbecile who doesn't know how to handle PR. Have the rest of the world root against you, the same world that never cared about you in 1999.

Give me Option 2, all day every day and twice on Sunday.

The best part about the latest sob story from a loser is that it's coming from a team that cheated to get a QB on their team. I can't wait 'til we see them next season and put up 60 on them.

Only 60?.....

When Rule say the pressure on the ball should be within this range, at what temperature should the ball pressure be measured? Pressure is directly proportional to the temperature. Possibly, the ball pressure was taken at a higher temperature (by design? we don't know) and when it was exposed to the cold outside, the pressure dropped.
