This has zoomed past crazy a few days ago, but seriously.......

THIS is the NFL VP of Operations who was on-site on Sunday night and started the proceedings once contacted by the Colts:

".....Before rising to the league level, Kensil was the Jets director of operations for nearly 20 years. His tenure overlapped Bill Parcells (and Bill Belichick’s) time with the Jets and he would have been part of the Jets front office incensed by Belichick’s 2000 resignation as Jets head coach.

Kensil’s tenure with the Jets ended in 2006, the same year Belichick disciple Eric Mangini became head coach of the Jets.

Multiple sources have indicated that Kensil is the driving force behind the investigation and that his interest in deflated balls did not begin in January but actually began earlier in the year....."

**** the Jets. I don't say that often enough, so I'll say that now

The problem with articles like this is that it's almost probable that you'll find a wronged team connection when it's about the Pats who have kicked league ass for 15 years.

FTW!!!

I can only hope this can be unquestionably tied in...

Gawd, this guy is like Wilfred Brimley in the movie "The Firm".

I wonder who Curran's source was...couldn't be that guy who owned him at yesterday's presser...?

If the Patriots are indeed found guilty of anything, I'd love to see Kraft or BB step up and ask for an independent investigation to close the gaps between the Patriots' study and the NFL review.

It could be Wells was brought in.

This article seemed as though it was half done..

Why don't they use their energy to contact Mallett, Hoyer, Cassel or Bill O'Brien.. maybe they not want to find out the whole truth..

This whole situation sounds more and more like a set up....

Pats file tampering charges against Jets Sunday morning; ex-Jets League Official starts investigation into Pats for ball deflation Sunday night, leaking false/conflicting info to media all week long.

Coincidence?

Alright. Someone explain to me how belechick was the Jets coach when he clearly didn't wanna be?

I know they named him head coach just to get compensation out of the Pats but how is that possible. Was it in his contract cause I mean if you don't want a job I'm not sure how it can be forced on you

I can just picture Woody and Irsay scheming together...

Irsay: Heh heh... Heh heh heh.... We'll really get 'em this time heh heh... Deflated footballs yeah that'll do it... *snort*

Woody: Heh heh yup Jim... Wait they aren't filled with feathers???

it answers the question of why would the league get into this right before the superbowl. he should be fired for dragging the league into this.

Joker was well ahead of the curve on all of this Jets/NFL connection. This should come as no surprise.

When Tuna resigned BB automatically became HC because it was in his contract.

Festy1986 Parcells had it in his contract that if he left the head coach position, that BB would become the HC of the NYJ. On the surface, this sounds like Parcells taking care of one of his own. In reality, BP wasn't leaving the Jets and BB knew that BP would be running things from the front office and BB didn't want to be BP's puppet. It was still a ballsy move by BB since he was burning bridges with BP & the Jets. Many around the league thought he was nuts and that no one would hire him after. Kraft didn't care what was being said and knew he wanted BB. It was a great decision, but one that wasn't initially thought of as a good one by the mediots.
