(Merged x3) It's All Happening!!! PFT Now Blames The NFL For Tarnishing The PATS Image

Some Comments on the Comments:

1. Best of all I didn't have to read the 8000 odd posts people wrote on this topic. The anger, frustration, and justified indignation that I didn't experience have added years to my life.

2. I didn't know that the story would take this exactly this shape, but I KNEW something like this would eventually come out....and come out it did

3. It should be known, btw, that Florio and Curran are buddies and often appear on each other's shows. Don't be surprised if Florio's heads up on this came from Curran.

4. If what the Curran/Florio story is even 80% true, this entire thing becomes a complete Patriot vindication, and an absolute disaster for the NFL FO, Colts and Ravens.

5. I'm really glad that for the next week there will be a lot of people who are going to be apologizing to the Pats. I'm also glad that I now feel comfortable scanning the radio and TV for football talk, knowing I'm actually going to hear football talk.

6. I do recognize that there will always be those haters and losers who aren't going to let his "little" set back slow down their efforts to bring down the Patriots. From them we will hear comments like, "they just were caught......THIS time", or "the league is covering up for them again", or the Westoff insanity of, "well you don't know half of what they used to do".

7. BB drew the line in the sand on Friday. He and Kraft finally stopped being the good soldiers for Goodell, and basically said, "we haven't done anything wrong, and we aren't going to sit and take it anymore.

8. Finally, I'm PISSED, and I'm out for blood. I want my pound of flesh. I don't want simply see people walk away from this with a Rosanne Rosanadana-esque "NEVER MIND". The not only was the Pats reputation hurt, a bad lawyer could prove economic damages. They were POSITIVELY slandered. Christ, NPR"s Wait Wait Don't Tell Me lampooned the Pats TWICE during the show, including a segment where they aske the guest to guess "how the Pats will cheat next Sunday" That's NP freakin' R

It was all in fun and I recommend the show to all, but it only goes to show you just how far the story had been ridden, and almost all of it negative to the Patriots franchise. This just doesn't go away with a simple, I'm sorry. This franchise has been subject to significant damage. Heads have to role. Draft picks have to be exchanged. Money has to be exchanged. Hell find me a lawyer who wants to sue ESPN and the NFL FO on behalf of Patriots fans for undue emotional suffering, I'll be first to sign

9. I've read all the posts on this thread. I've had my say, and now, thank god, I don't have to read any more. Let's talk some FOOTBALL

I wouldnt worry. Schefter just being used as a mouth piece because Herr Goodell and the NFL's charade is falling apart. Can't have the story on media row be about how the NFL, namely thr VP of game operations, an ex-30 year jests employeee, and Colts might have been in cahoots on this.

Nobody at all on Twitter is even mentioning this - all the Schefter talk revolves around Josh Gordon and Rob Chudzinski.

So you'll have to find a link to this otherwise I'm calling BS.

Anyone thinking that Mort or King or any of these other slime balls are now done, is deluding themselves.
These weasels no longer have to be accurate yet alone accountable.

The Tomasse debacle should have taught you this!
Thats the way it is these days not just in sports but in life, no integrity any longer. Not so long ago if someone did what TomASSe did he would have left or been fired never to be heard from again. Now whether its sports or politics you just ride out the initial wave of outrage and carry on, goodell did just this after the ray rice debacle. People were calling for his head and he just laid low and rode it out, but hes going to have to surface now because of this eventually.

Apparently he said it on TV just a few moments ago on their Pro Bowl pregame

You can find THAT in another thread.

I want my Pats to get their rightful pound of flesh out of this.!!!!!!!!

And if he said it, it would have been all over Twitter - but it isn't.

That's the thing here, with Twitter that would have been all over within seconds.

So, the owner of a team that used to play crowd noise over the PA system in the RCA Dome is suddenly interested in the integrity of the game?

Jim Irsay ‏@JimIrsay 2m2 minutes ago
We are confident the NFL and Commissioner will address the concerns that arouse from our Champ Game. The integrity of the game is critical.

Irsay can start by explaining how the ball intercepted by Jackson ended up 1 full PSI less than the other 10

Oops DR. Pain already suggested this. I second the motion

My DVR had the probowl pregame recorded. I just watched Schefter's 2 segments in the last hour and nowhere does he even mention deflategate.

IF there was ever a time to run up the score, next yr vs indy is the time..

Funny thing is, we don't need to run up the score on these beotches. We've put 40+ points on this Luck led Colts team like the past 3-5 times we've played them.

But, yes, a nice 60 or 70 burger would be great next year.

Arouse? Really? This stuff writes itself.
