Jay Glazer says NFL has zeroed in on locker room attendant

I felt really good after Belichick's press conference yesterday. Feeling uncomfortably nervous once again. I really feel we are gonna be ****ed. IF they find the employee did anything wrong, I think he sings like a canarie, we are doomed. Then again, if he did anything wrong, I feel he would have confessed already and they wouldn't say this will take a few more weeks, I think it would be over. Either way, I'm not as confident as I was yesterday. I really feel this ends very badly for us.

Someone was of course going to pick up the footballs and take them to the field. Unless they can identify a time gap and a visit to a specific intermediate location that was occupied long enough to deflate that many balls pretty much exactly, then his is just the NFL checking into all possibilities.

Plus it just makes no sense: the pressure is going to drop a certain amount anyway due to the temperature (>1.2 psi, VERY conservatively). Why does anyone think there any need to assume that anyone would bother to try make it drop just a wee little bit more (and we don't know if it dropped a wee bit more, anyway).

There's a good chance this report is utterly false. The way the story has gone no one knows the truth and the only people who have been as transparent as anyone have been Belichick and Brady

Who are you gonna believe, a mob on a witch hunt or BB and Brady.

I'll believe our guys over their scumbags any day of the week. Ball boy has been interviewed twice according to Glazer and probably said I was taking a piss, league doesn't know what to do now but sit on it and appear as though theyre doing a thorough investigation.

Mike the Jet hears the rumblings that the NFL is on his tail and leaks this to Glazer in attempt to get the heat off himself because he knows the pathetic NFL office reacts to public opinion, and if wind is blowing towards hating the Patriots he might get off free.

It is a complete farce. Everyone knows it. This ball boy was interviewed a week ago, it is only being leaked today because Curran has brought Mikey boy into the fray.

I would not be too quick to judgement here.

The attendant, as pointed out by a fellow poster, is an NFL employee who takes the balls out to the ball boys on the sidelines right before kickoff...

I have a hard time believing Belichick would go out of his way to "corrupt" an NFL employee, then after passing all the video (including the "smoking gun" footage) to the league, give an impromptu press conference and deny the allegations in the manner he did...

Well, IF, IF, IF, IF they prove that the Patriots deliberately did this, after those press conferences, I'm done with them. Period.

Like most people, I hope, I can forgive minor transgressions, but not bald-faced lying.

That said, I BELIEVE Brady and absolutely believe Belichick. I think this is more breathless and useless speculation.

Good point, the game start was indeed delayed, and I was guessing it was due to the overtime in the other game.

If you are the guy who has picked up the bag of balls to take to the field, and you find that the game start is being delayed 10 min, do you think "I will go on out there into the cold rain right now" or do you say "Good, now I can chill out for a few minutes and delay getting wet and cold".

Tough choice, huh?

Sorry, there is zero chance Pats tampered to deflate. Anyone who has a good understanding of science will tell you that there should be a investigation if some one claimed the PSIs DIDN'T change. Not for underinflation

No, i dont believe this is false and i do believe they have video. Video of a "lockerroom attendant" taking the balls from the lockerroom to the field. All of which is perfectly normal, to which this would have been the first logical place to look after and if indeed the Refs checked the pressure in the balls.

If you have security footage of me going to work....then you have footage of me going to work. Nothing to see here.

So wait a minute, this boy had all 11 Balls with him? Im confused, I thought the refs inspect and then pass the balls.......so someone is saying this Ball boy took said balls back from the refs or whomever handles them during the first half? .......ALL 11 Balls? and went back all at once or one at a time? So either he had Santa Clause bag over his shoulder or he would be seen going back and forth mutliple times? I really don`t get this at all.

And why bother if science has proven the Balls would already naturally deflate 2 PSI? This is beginning to look more and more like utter total fabricated BS just to keep the NFL the highest rated Sport in America.

There's zero chance BB would ask a ball boy whether he is employed by the Pats or the NFL to deflate footballs before the game. Bill isn't dumb and there's no way he would risk so much and give so much leverage to someone like that, not buying it at all. I infact its true a ball boy did something like this, he did it under his own decision.

Since they can't get at BB/Pats via the evidence at least they can hang them in the court of public opinion.

It is unconscionable that the investigation cannot simply share the data on the psi.
Why not?
Because it invariably lends credence to the science explanation, a narrative they don't want.
The league office has an entirely different story in mind.

As I said previously, the news purveyors control the story.
If they don't talk about it write about it, it didn't happen.
That's their approach to the science explanation.

Phew...as long as they didn't use pixie dust.

There is so much basic stuff we don't know yet. Do the refs measure, feel up balls with team officials or ball boy present? There is no way BB or any Pats staff or players is involved in this. The only way something could have been done , is an overzealous ball boy, after seeing that the refs didn't put the balls to 12.5, that he decided to do it himself. On the other hand if this is the case he must have told someone long ago...and I would assume they told him just leave them as they are.

In normal times - this would worry me. But with all the crazy reports out there, who can believe anything ?

I just have to believe that BB doesn't come out on the weekend with that kind of PC unless he is 100% confident. He is too smart to do something like that without making sure all is well.

But... the madness is reaching epic proportions. Leonardo DiCaprio as Brady, Rosie O'Donnell as Jim Irsay. Netflix in the Fall.

Get an affidavit from them and then produce them for the Media. Ohh, and release the video.
