Denver Broncos might not want Peyton Manning back

Manning will play for another year. He'll announce his retirement early on so that the team will "win for Peyton."

Denver is smart with their Manning contracts. It's pay as you go so the dead money is just ~$5M to cut him. I think they'll figure their best chance for the SB is to try one more year with Peyton. They'll be wrong but we're happy with that.

They still have the salary cap violations and the taping of the 49ers practices.

There's still fun and games for the entire family to be had.

Good point, but its not worth the flight if Mark Sanchez is the starter.

If Manning passes the physical, and shows that he's going to be able to make the throws, he'll be back. Peyton doesn't want to go out like he did last year, and the Broncos #2 option is Osweiler.

I could definitely see the Broncos hedging their bets, either by going QB high in the draft or signing a 'legit' QB and going with 3 for the season.

Osweiler was picked ahead of Russell Wilson. He must be better.

If Sanchez is the QB, you can expect Elway's head to explode at least once every 3-4 games.

its just leverage, the brock era isnt starting

Oh God. Help me. I just had a vision of a Derick Jeter like world tour on every away game.

Kill me now.
Well if he did announce it and do the world tour the Pats could still bring him a parting gift in Denver.

Somebody's gotta have a good idea for this, I'm coming up empty right now...

I can't say that I really blame them though, considering that they still have a decent (albeit noodle armed) QB who likely puts them in position to win 10+ games.

They'll be a much different team once Manning leaves.

Denver would be utterly stupid to pass on PM unless there was a worrisome medical issue or some solidly proven and younger QB was available for them to sign to a longer term deal.

Denver has piled up the players/talent. They are going pretty deep to win it now. How does it make sense to do that with an unproven QB of lesser stature versus PM who can certainly get you to the playoffs?

Yeah, there are just so many other great QBs out there for the taking. Does he still have Curtis Painter as his back-up?

This is jeopardizing my plans of flying to Denver and trolling them all game long. I mean I could still do it but its not the same if Manning isn't there.
Please go and yell IN-COM-PLETE when Peytie Pie dings one off of Wes Welker's giant helmet.

Can he rush the passer?

Horse Face went all in last year after gettin Boitch Slapped by Seahawks in SB not to mention us beating them at Gillette with a healthy Gronk.....Again! What Elway failed to see was he looked ahead past NE and was thinkin how to get tougher vs Seahawks 2nd time around in SB.
Patriots, Brady CRUSHED his plan and not only beat them Reg Season but beat them out as No. 1 Seed and Broncos gettin bounced by Colts coupled with us Winning It All has Elway takin horse pills.
Even if Manning comes back, There is No real fear playing them here or there and if he couldn't get it done with Offense he had imagine what it would be like if Broncos lose their players to FA. I like our chances again.

I think we should do our best to keep the dysfunction "in house," much like a family does.

I wouldn't want any other fanbases to see the amount of freaking out that goes on when the opposition kicks a FG to start the game.

Mr Ed has a big decision to make. I kinda don't fault him either way he decides to go.

If PM has a healthy, kick-ass regular season then you can argue it was money well spent as DEN will still be the best team in the division.

If PM breaks down it's only a 1 year deal so in 2016 they can move on. Who would they play? Osweiler? Pu-lease

Certainly would be advantageous for Elway to reduce that # to something less than $22m or whatever they owe him.

They do need to fortify the running game. Anderson is a good runner but I don't consider him elite.

As John Elway so famously said when they signed Manning, "There is no Plan B"!
