Patriots NFL Super Bowl Blu Ray (March 3rd Release)

Unfortunately it's the same price on Amazon Canada. Our dollar took a bad time to plummet, here's hoping it's better the next time the Patriots win the SuperBowl.

Hope your Dollar recovers by next February then ;):)

Sounds like a lame blu ray. Will wait for 3 Games to Glory IV.

Might be wise given what has been said, but IIRC, 3 Games to Glory doesn't really cover the season, just the 3 games in the playoffs. They may not be redundant to each other.

Watching it right now. I think it is worth it, and there is some sideline and other stuff I had not seen before. Plus I like listening the narration in the NFL films, and it is a nice little distraction from the growing pessimism regarding Revis and McCourty.

Who are Revis & McCourty? I heard they play for the Jets & Colts respectively.

The bonus features are what I find most disappointing about the SB blu ray.

I have most of the regular season games recorded as well as all of the playoff games, so I am not buying it for that reason (although it will be nice watching the playoff games in a higher bit rate and without commercials.) I just read the bonus features for 3 Games to Glory IV and they sound much better than the ones on the SB blu ray.

That's not surprising. The superbowl discs are made by the NFL via their standard process. The 3 Games to Glory discs, while of course produced by NFL films, were made according to what NE specifically asked for (well, I-III were done that way -- dunno about IV).

The SB Blue Ray/DVD is always the appetizer and the 3GTG's are always the steak. Both work well together.

Just finished, loved it. Hadn't seen a lot of stuff from it and most of the YouTube videos I've watched don't have enough defensive highlights.

Fun to re watch the highlights. Damn that Ravens game. I remember my anxiety level being greater in that game than the Super Bowl. Would have been very difficult to accept the Ravens taking us out again that early. When we went down 14 early, there were sickening flash backs to the 2009 Wildcard.

Just had a little sad moment in McCourty's SB talk to the DBs where he fires them up and he singles out Butler. Shmeh :(. I need to stop being pessimistic.

What is wrong with this picture?

I woke up early today and was at my local Walmart right when it opened (7:00 AM). The new movies weren't displayed yet so they sent someone to the back to look for the Pats blu ray. (no luck)

I had to go to work (in Boston) and went on a search during lunch. There are two sports memorabilia stores in Fanueil Hall. They didn't have it. Newburry Comics didn't have it. Walgreens and CVS didn't have it (though I figured those were long shots)

I call another Walmart in my area and they confirm they are not carrying it. I call Best Buy (in Kingston) and they don't have it. I call Target and they have the DVD (but not blu ray). Finally, I call an FYE and they say they have it, but of course train delays don't allow me to get home in time to get their before closing.

After waiting ten years for this blu ray I figured there was absolutely no scenario in whcih I did NOT get this on day one, but alas it looks like it wasn't in the cards. I suppose I can wait one more day.

I'm still baffled that places like Best Buy, Walmart, and Target aren't selling this blu ray (or at least not on day 1). I had absolutely no problem getting the Red Sox blu ray from Walmart, and the Bruins one from Best BUy. WHy would they not have the Patriots?

WHere is everyone getting their copies?

Those were the NFL Network international broadcasts with **** Stockton and Moose Johnson announcing, right?
correct

Can't wait to get mine on Blu-Ray! I ordered the Patriots Super Bowl 49 Champions merchandise I wanted on Fanatics on the Tuesday after the game. It shipped earlier today so I should get it this weekend or at the beginning of next week. Oh and I don't know how often reviews are for Super Bowl DVDs/Blu-Rays but here's one and don't panic because it's a good one: http://redcarpetcrash.com/blu-ray-review-super-bowl-xlix-champions-new-england-patriots/

"Even if you’re not a fan of either team, this is a must have for any football fan."

Unless you're a fan of the Broncos, Colts, Ravens, Steelers, Bills, Dolphins, Jets, and Giants.

Got mine from Amazon. Arrived by UPS (or LaserShip or whatever) this afternoon.

I did this. This is always the best option....pre-order and watch it as if you ran out on Day 1 and bought it!

I just ordered mine off amazon. Who here has seen it? Is it good??

Just ordered one, thanks for reminding me about it, have been very busy. I wanted to catch the playoff games, since watching them live is very different than watching in the stands....and it was hard to enjoy the superbowl, until the super sweet end.

So....ummm....this Blu-ray thing - - it will play on my computer like a DVD????

They have a DVD version for sale too.

Just got my Blu-Ray version in the mail! Can't wait to watch it!

Sounds like the NFL messed it up.

Is it me or does the NFL really have it in for the Pats. Not just currently, but they seem to be trying to minimize the legacy.

You might say "oh well they were rushed producing a bad video".

But then, why do they immediately takedown good fan-posted videos?

If the NFL doesn't make videos that show the legacy, and they take down the fan videos, what's left?

Not to mention the constant judging of QBs based on athletic ability not character, talking about Luck like he's on the same level as Brady despite Luck's constant interceptions.

In preparation for the SB I watched all of the 3 Games to Glory and SBXXWhatever Champions DVDs. I hadn't watched them in a few years. It sure beat listening to all of the losers cry about the Pats and Ballgate for two weeks. The only thing I didn't do was watch all of the Americas Game DVDs.

The 3 Games to Glory DVDs don't have any regular season highlights. The SB Champion DVDs have some highlights of all the games but not that many.
