Brandon Marshall to the Jets

So all they need to do is sign a player that is under contract with the Patriots, while all of the other 31 teams have a shot at him, and then get good at the most important and difficult to find position on the field?
Well then they still have to fix OL, RB, LB, and the entire rest of the secondary.

they got marshall for a 5th round pick.

That seems like a pretty reasonable price considering that the Bears didn't have a lot of leverage. That means the Jets are out their 4 (Harvin) and 5 (Marshall) this year, I think.

Yes, IF they can get a QB. Their defense is already elite and figures to see a boost with Ryan running the show. Their offense has an elite RB (McCoy), a possible elite WR (Watkins), a decent #2 WR (Woods), and an OK TE (Chandler). That Bills team has a ton of talent.

No to criticize you but why does everyone assume that there wont be any issue for Buffalo to transition to Rex Ryan.

Yes they played well late last year, but it was an entirely different coaching staff.

You are not elite until your level of play and the win column actually confirm that. Anybody can be a winner in the offseason.

If Harvin remains on the roster, the Jets will lose a fourth round pick, but if he is cut the Jets will only lose a sixth round pick.

Kind of funny that NFLN just said that Marshall's problems in Chicago were over the lack of competitiveness on the team, but the Jest think they can fix that.

I think they can fix that, or at least that it's a possibility. Not convinced that they will, but Idzik did a great job cleaning all of the trash off their roster. The Jets could field a good team this year, especially if Milliner and Pryor step up and start playing to their draft positions. I don't necessarily think that they will, but it's at least in play for the first time in a few years.

At a bare minimum, they're in better shape than the Bears IMO.

This is a good trade for the Jets, they have cap space and get a good WR to pair up with Decker. The lockerroom will be a problem

Well...it's over folks.

The Jets got mentally unbalanced Marshall with no QB to throw to him....

the Bills got McCoy who is about equal to Spiller at this point in his career...

and one of the most dysfunctional locker rooms in the NFL is getting Suh...
.

This run has been nice while it lasted.
Spiller is not about equal to McCoy at this point in their careers, NO!

and all of Suh's problems seems to be on the field, I have never heard anything bad about him in the locker room.

So Harvin is getting cut?

The Jets got fleeced. A 5th rounder for a player everyone in the NFL knew was going to be released on Monday.

The AFC East opponenents are making clown car moves. Shady McCoy's contract. Trading for Marshall. Bidding against themselves to drive up the price they pay for Suh...

Belichick and Jonathan Kraft are laughing at them.

The afc east wont be a cakewalk. It never is and especially this year. I wonder how long they will wait on revis to make a decision

The AFCE "never is a cakewalk"?????????

Marshall is a really talented guy but he's not a guy you either want to count on when adversity strikes or in your lockerroom when adversity strikes, and if there is one thing that pretty much every Championship team needs it is the ability to weather the storm. I would love to have in terms of talent but I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team when they are going through a month like the Patriots experienced last September, or for that matter the start the Seahawks got off to, which is when they decided their head case needed to go.

Anyone who wants Percy Harvin on this team should get their head examined.

Yes, Marshall would be released Monday if no team was willing to trade a draft choice for him.

The jets were fleeced only if they were the only team interested and could sign him in free agency for the same cost.

There were probably more teams willing to give a draft choice. There were certainly more teams willing to compete for Marshall's services in free agency.

Whether a 6th or 5th was reasonable depends on what was available.

So, no, I don't think the jets were fleeced.

Sorry...this is one of the few certainties in life along with death and taxes.
I presume that you are about 12 years old.

Great fit! He'll follow Decker and Harvin into the HoF.
