Schefter just said that Moss will be going to Green Bay or New England tomorrow. Mayock thinks it will be New England.

Says Pats are offering a conditional 3rd with Green Bay offering a conditional 4th.

I can just hear all the ESPN talking heads talking about how our locker room is going to be a cancerous place if we get moss and "questonable character" meriweather

Conversely, Schefter just said there's been no contact between Oakland and New England.

Stallworth, Caldwell, Welker, Gaff, Brown is a pretty good lineup. No for Moss.

& Schefter is more credible than Smith.

If Moss ends up playing for us next year, I am betting Tommy will be on the verge of bracking Mannings TD record!!!!!!! If this trade would happen do u think it will happen today????

Adam Schefter confirms that the Pats are out of the running for receiver Randy Moss.

On the day Shefter said Thomas to the Pats will happen by tommorow, Micheal Smith said Miami and SF were the leading contenders for Thomas and never once mentioned the Pats.

Shefter has been money this offseason.

I'll go with Shefter,

Smith also provided us with this gem earlier today: "People think Quinn is overrated because his first name is Brady". Seriously, wtf happened to this guy since joining ESPN? Does receiving a paycheck from the world wide leader automatically turn your brain into oatmeal?

Thank god! Pray to the heavens!

we'll probably grab a WR anyways..i think Moss > any WR left. especially since he'll restructure

Michael Smith was the first one to break confirmation of Jamarcus Russell to the Raiders. He has a source with the Raiders, or with an agent close to the Raiders. Schefter has been very inconsistent on this Moss story over the last 2 months. Scoffing at it originally , then reporting that NE had offered a 6th rdr. as of this morning. For me, anyway, there is too much smoke around "NE and Moss" to dismiss Smith's report.

Here's the thing with Moss. He's a darned good receiver, really good. When he wants to be. He's petulant and narccistic, and always seems to have an excuse for not performing to his capabilities.

Well, if he comes here, he'll be out of excuses. He'll be paired up with some damned good talent. A QB who can always get the ball to him, and some pretty good WR's to boot. Add in a culture of hard work and victory, and he's got everything around him he's always asked for.

So, no more excuses. If he comes here, and that's still a big if, he knows he's gonna have to perform. He won't be allowed to take plays off, becuase not only will coach not stand for it, neither will anyone else on the team.

You think he'd want to have to face Logan Mankins Or Matt Light if they were pissed at him? Those guys are used to giving 110%, and expect everyone else to.

It's going to be interesting either way. Either it's the end of the road for Moss out in Oakland, or his last shot at being somebody here in NE. His choice how it all plays out, but if he bottoms out, like i believe he will, he's got no one to blame but himself.

What a shame to waste such God-given talents as a receiver. That young man could have anything he wanted, football-wise, if he'd just been willing to work for it.

Respects,
You could have posted this a while back changing Moss to David Terrell and this post works equally well. Jonathan sullivan was another guy who had no more excuses. Sometimes players change, but Moss never runs hard if the play isn't designed to get him the ball, and I don't see why he will change now.

I believe all this talk is b.s. and that thereis zero interest in moss by the Pats

I couldn't believe he said that either! I'm surprised nobody else in the studio commented on it.

Is it simply a coincidence that the 4th rd pick the pats got from the deal w/ the 49er's is #110? The packers is 3113.

well its not hard to break the #1 guy story..i wouldnt give him too much credit for that

Yea, he's realizing it's not all about the money... I think maybe he has taken a hard look at his career, and realizes a few things and some things he may need to change...

attitude....check
paycheck.... check
finally winning a SB....check

Didn't we just give draft picks to Oakland? What in the hell was that for?

I have no idea how I would react were this to happen.
