Glad to have Devin McCourty back, but i wouldn't get too excited until we re-sign Revis

Oh don't get it wrong i love DMac, think he's easily one of the best safeties in the game but i'm just stating the disparity between the two. DMac is great, Revis is LEGENDARY. We're talking about a corner that will be mentioned with Deion when he retires.....

No shame in DMac being a distance from Revis but the great thing is he's young and can forge his own legacy which he is already doing at the safety position.
Absolutely. And it would definitely be a disappointment if Revis left- that said I think we all feel pretty good about our chances.

Link?........ Would be awesome though

Alot of coin on the secondary. I hope they find a way to upgrade the d line. Happy for dmac. Classy guy.

That's a fake twitter account. I made a similar mistake earlier.

Fake Twitter account.

Oops. Fake account.. My bad. Please delete.

@MikeReiss: Devin McCourty called Bill Belichick to tell him he was ready to sign elsewhere, which led to Patriots' final pitch: http://t.co/IVEfI4ublQ

How ****ing hard is it to post a link?

In Philly, the fans here are going ballistic for not able to sign McCourty.

Nothing new here, but some confirmation from nfl mobile (posted 1046pm)...

Devin McCourty to remain with New England Patriots

Around The NFL Editor
Devin McCourty won't test free agency after all. He's staying with the Patriots are keeping McCourty according to two sources informed of his thinking. New England held on to the prized safety after a hard push from the Jaguars, Eagles, and Giants.

Around the NFL will have more on this story soon.

And then updated with the 5/47m numbers....
......
[he] rated 2of the 101 free agents on the market......

Eagles and Giants both wanted him badly, and now must look to free agent options like Antrel Rolle and Rahim Moore as fallback options. ......Of course, Darrelle Revis was just as valuable to the rebuilt New England secondary.

With McCourty under contract, attention will now turn to Revis' deal. He's due $20 million in 2015, including a huge roster bonus due Tuesday. The Patriots have been working on keeping both players, so it wouldn't be fair to say the team prioritized McCourty over Revis. But McCourty's contract always was the simpler one to get done. Tom Curran of Comcast Sports New England wrote earlier Sunday it was a "pretty good bet" that the team keeps both players. They are halfway home.

What's funny is that the fake account just announced breaking news that the Pats have signed him for 4/60 when 40 minutes ago they announced breaking news that the Pats have signed him for 3/45

It's not real. Searched for his account and the first thing that popped up was a fake account on my twitter. Sorry all! :/

His fake account...Jesus people do 3 min of research.

Congrats to Dmac! Even though he turned down my offer to Nashville I guess we can still be bros just let me get some of that money(J-Mac)

cracks me up that J-Mac was first in line to get a piece of that $28M guarantee:D
