Hightower out 6-7 months

He had the game winning tackle before The Butler Did It.

Hightower brought him down, but it was Ayers that made first contact and slowed him down.

If Belichick drafts a LB in either the first or second rounds, I'm going to go outside, get a brick, and fire it through my TV.

You should know better than to say something like that... your poor TV.

Sure he was a OLB but it was in the 3-4 and he was very miscast there the last two seasons.
Ive read that as well. Since they didn't resign him that lines up.

This is what was expected from the start...shouldn't be new news

OK, bad news, but I'd rather he be out for April, May, Jun, July, and August (and maybe September and October) than almost any other period. It also allows us to plan for life without him as opposed too a two month injury in September.

Still wondering why new outlets reported this 1.5 months AFTER his surgery we all knew about. Just trying to bring Pats into news again is my guess...

I wouldn't mind seeing signed one of Geno Hayes or Ashlee Palmer as coverage OLBs who should be
inexpensive and capable of providing stop-gap production. As a more physical presence, both Colin
McCarthy & old friend Dane Fletcher are still available and would also come inexpensively.

Add me to the list of those who think BB has a verbal deal to sign Fletch should he be unemployed post 1 June

It was Ben Volin reporting it, a month after Jeff Howe had broken the story. I think the names of the respective reporters explain it all.

And neither of those guys have a shot if it wasn't for Chung.

Go back and watch the play and keep your on eye on Chung and I suggest slowing it down just a tad.

A question about recovery from this injury, and in general for a young NFL LB. Anyone here have enough knowledge to provide meaningful information about how long it takes him to get the strength and aerobic capacity back once he can rehab? I assume he can begin running a lot sooner than he can begin lifting, and lifting a lot sooner than hitting.

With a possible return date of June/July, roughly when does the timeline put him back on the field at full capability?
