Concerns Brady May Not Be Ready For Training Camp :)

I don't know where you live, but it's pretty common for two-income families to put their kids in daycare. In a country like the US, it happens extremely early for most kids, sometimes within the first 3 months.

Daycare in large cities can be expensive. In Toronto, it can run easily $1,300 to $1,500 for a decent one, more for a better one. Once you have two kids in daycare, it's often cheaper to hire a nanny. I know plenty of dual-income middle-class families with nannies for this reason, and I wouldn't consider any of them to be lesser parents for doing so.

I think this is quite frankly, a pretty terrible cheap-shot. We don't know Tom or Giselle, we don't know what kind of parents they are, and having a nanny really doesn't mean anything. I know it's popular to criticize other parents for things they do, but really, this was beyond the line of good taste.

I seem to have been misunderstood as criticizing the parenting. That was not my intent. I was merely pointing out spin.

Curiously Roger Goodell was spotted a short distance away on the same beach.

That's odd. I thought this was the most accurate photo of Goodell ever taken:

I'm sure this was just a flippant comment that has turned into something way more than you anticipated, but it really doesn't seem fair at all.

Tom is well-known to be a very private individual and long before he became active on Facebook, he was known to be a dedicated family man. I see no reason at all to question his sincerity in posting a fun picture from his family vacation. It's something millions of parents do every single day, and maybe you're calling them out for their spin too, but maybe not. When I posted a pic of my baby boy and I in our Patriots gear the night of the Super Bowl, it wasn't to project what a great father I was. It was a memory I wanted to share with my family and friends.

It also reminds me how the media drives athletes insane with their hypocritical nonsense. They love to complain about athletes never showing their true colours, but whenever they do, they get accused of pushing an agenda, or otherwise ripped to shreds. Then the media wonders why athletes don't say anything else.

I admit I'm a huge Brady homer, have been since he was at Michigan, so I am a bit biased here. But after all we've seen from him over the years and how he's always been known as a family guy, I think he's earned the benefit of the doubt when he posts a pic of him and his kids having fun on vacation. This isn't Adrian Peterson hugging a kid or Michael Vick holding a dog. It's a guy who is known for loving his family sharing a bit of that.

I believe Brady's sincere.

I also think that when you posted the photo, you probably did it yourself. His was probably posted by a paid assistant.

I wasn't saying the Bradychen's are doing anything wrong in their presumed absences from the home. I'm just saying that the image they're portraying on Facebook is -- surprise!! -- a slightly slanted version of reality.
How do you know? I am a big Facebooker and I find Brady's FB page to be a lot more personal than other celebrities. It also seems that whether they are pics posted by him or his wife or the press that follows them around constantly, that they spend a lot of time with their kids - not just for PR moments, but for life in general. Kudos to them. Others should follow their example.

Worth joining worthless Facebook just for TFB's stuff
If you have a decent amount of friends who use FB, you should give it a try. I have reconnected with lots of people, particularly from high school, who use it. It also allows me to keep in touch with extended family members scattered all over the country. My mom is very ill and bedridden. I gave her an extra iPad and set her up with an account and now she can keep up with everyone, and them with her. My sister-in-law sends her funny videos of the grandkids every day, etc. Don't knock it till you try it!

Uh, I am on FB. That's how I see TFB's Winning The Internet posts.
Have zero close friends or close relatives on FB. Just Patriots Tailgate folks I know.

Tom Brady Goes Cliff Diving and Patriots Nation Loses Its Collective Mind

This is already getting Patriots Nation all riled up.
tom-brady-cliff-jumping-2.jpg

Boston Sports Legend and Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady -- the man with the golden arm -- took a feet-first dive off a rocky cliff into the water below as shown in a 41-second video posted to his Facebook page Saturday morning.

"Never doing that again! #AirBrady" was the caption Brady posted under the video.

Patriots fans were immediately concerned after viewing the footage.

"Jesus man! Every Pats fan just fainted watching that," Jason Fournier wrote in the Facebook comments section.

"A collective gasp heard all over New England!" wrote Thomas Mitchell.

The dive -- which looked to be from nearly 30 feet -- most likely took place in Costa Rica, where Brady recently returned from a family vacation.

"The best QB in the history of the NFL needs to be tucked away safely in a padded room. No more of that, TB12!" wrote Aaron Dias.

Jason Murphy added, "insurance companies all around the world just cringed."

One fan perfectly posted a photo of Bill Belichick's face in the comments. You get the picture.

Brady and Belichick are sure to be asked about this move the next time they are available.

Something tells us we won't be seeing any more Brady cliff diving for a long time to come.

Hmm... just TB's luck this will turn out to be the day BB chose to start MyFace'ing.

My brother in law just showed me the video, i have to admit i was holding my breath.

WTF. The guy can't even have fun on vacation without people *****ing about it. It must suck being famous.

I just watched it. How dare he drives my anxiety level up:p

What caught my attention about the cliff jump was a comment made by Giselle around the :17 or :18 second mark about his "strong leg." Did anyone else catch that by chance?

Bet you he had two angry messages waiting for him on his phone when he got back.

What she refers to as his "strong leg" has nothing to do with on the field

I was somewhat surprised that an insinuation would be made that he has a "strong leg," and a weaker one, specifically on a video shared to millions on social media.

I suppose it's only natural that you'd be taking it easier on the leg that you had major surgery on, although that was almost 7 years ago. I by no means meant to suggest that it was cause for concern, I simply wondered if anyone else picked up on it.

As far as your statement goes, obviously it has no bearing on his on-field performance, judging by the fact that they just won the SB less than 2 months ago, with a couple of strong showings from #12.
