That is all. Except the T-shirt should be green.

Okay one more thing. Take away the dummy tampering charge, what Kraft said sums up why I love the guy... we're not just looking at guys next year, we're looking 3 years out, etc.

The MMQB interview of Goodell gives the impression that Goodell is trying to distance himself from Kensil. He may use this as an opportunity to try to prove he's not a Jets shill.
Hes failed. His blood runs of green slime.

So now will Houston file tampering charges against the Pats because of the kind DEPARTING words Belichick had for Vince Wilfork?
No. Not with BOB down there. Owner Bob McNair is a gentleman and smart businessman. Unlike pinhead Woody.

Or maybe they DO understand, but just don't care. They want what they want, and Goodell has never punished them for anything before.

Maybe. But Occam's razor states the simplest solution is probably correct. Do I believe Woody Johnson and the Jets understand the rule completely but also understand their standing within the political realm of the NFL? Or does the entire Jets organization struggle with tampering because it's a 3-syllable word and beyond their comprehension? Hmmmm...Occam's razor...

Funny thing is that I've seen posts online on other sites from fans of all teams, and almost everyone unanimously agrees that these charges are complete horse ****.

Although I agree that McNair seems like a decent guy, I think it's more likely because there's 1000 other textbook examples of the same exact line of comments from coaches/GMs/Owners.

Jerry Jones said the same thing regarding Demarco Murray a couple of weeks ago when he lost him, as did the NYG owner about not being able to land McCourty in free agency. Those are just 2 prime examples of cases that are almost identical to what Kraft said.

The bottom line is that the NYJ's charge against N.England regarding tampering is total ********, unless there is an altogether different example out there that we're not yet aware of (for example, they made comments about a player under contract that isn't even Revis).

This was obviously an absurd attempt to muddy the waters and any unbiased rational person would dismiss it at that. However, I would not be surprised if the Jets alumni club that runs the NFL does not consider it that way and may use it to mitigate or offset the actual tampering done by the Jets. We shall see what happens now.

Florio's hinting that the NFL might just let the whole thing drop:

Mike Florio said:
And that points to why it’s going to be so difficult for the NFL to police tampering: It has become widely acknowledged around the league that it’s commonplace, and although “everyone else is doing it too” might not be an air-tight legal defense, it does raise the question of whether it’s really fair for the NFL to punish some teams for doing things that other teams were surely doing as well.

Maybe Goodell will decide to send a message, make an example of one team, and impose harsh discipline for tampering. Or maybe Goodell will decide that in the grand scheme of things, tampering really isn’t that big a problem, and the league would be better off letting it go.

I hope that all these new rules against us means that we are getting the Jets #6 pick.

Its like we punish them there so we are imparcial to give them the pick.

Its the only explanation to change a great play that BB improved and outsmarted all other coachs.

My friend from the host country of the 2017 Pro Bowl, BB indeed outsmarts all other coaches. He and the Partriots are the equivelent here of the Gracie family in your country, if I could draw a comparison. I loved Royce back in the day. Toughest guy in the ring, and he only weighed about 170. Amazing. :)

Edit: 170 lbs is equivelent to 77kg. I forget everyone else is metric but us sometimes.;)

But they were not very smart to sell UFC to Dana for 2m. :D

Florio's hinting that the NFL might just let the whole thing drop:

If true, the message to GMs and Owners would be, "tamper like hell, it is worth it" ... "until, of course, the Patriots do it"

Wait ONE second.

So the NFL may well let the Tampering charge against the Jets drop because "everyone is doing it" (funny haven't seen an owner do it at a public press conference THEN sign the guy).........

Yet, today Reiss intimates that the NFL may have no evidence whatsoever of malfeasance on the part of the Patriots in Deflategate yet they will probably be fined?????????

I'm sorry. No.

I feel that way to, but Kraft offended the most ego-maniacal self-grandios head of a sports organization in the history of the world by demanding an apology. The fuehrer apologizes to no one and those that defy his divine ascention to ultimate supremecy shall feel the wrath of his omnipotent authority.
goodell sucks 2.jpg

Peter King slammed the Jets tampering charge in his weekly MMQB column. That's a pretty good sign that the NFL FO is pissed about it. I know Florio gets a lot of info, but I don't think any media member is more of a mouthpiece for the league that King. I don't think the NFL is going to drop this one.

I wonder why King's MMQB had an "edited Q&A" with Goodell. Why the need to edit and what was edited out????

It's good to have faith in logic and reason. Whether the NFL has the ability to access those concepts, outside of decisions that best fuel the bottom line without regard to general integrity or integrity of the game, is open to debate.

Yesterday I hear on Sirius NFL how the NFL is turning the goal line camera proposal over to some R&D committee to assess its viability (4 cameras/32 teams in a multi-billion dollar enterprise). I always have faith in the Pats and this organization to find ways to compete under whatever rules the NFL throws out there. The Wells investigation (or allegations generally) has dragged on and dragged the Pats name through the mud, with timed leaks during the NFL season every time the story appeared to die down. The Jets story, despite appearing on national television in hard evidence form, appeared to want to die from the outset.

Call me a cynic, but I can see an NFL business decision in the works. The Jets suck, so even with the new additions the loss of a high draft pick would hurt a potentially credible threat to the Pats. But we cannot say it's okay to defy mandates (the Pats got blasted for Spygate for a "we mean what we say" enforcement despite identified harm), so let's chalk it up to the likely effect of a team with substantial history actually influencing the decision with comments (in legal-speak, harmless error).

As for the Pats, given the length of time digging there is always the chance of some incorrect practice (not necessarily deliberately deflating balls) after months of review (and they become the example) leading to a fine. I still seeing the Pats left to swing in the wind with an "insufficient evidence" claim that appeals to the legion of NFL fans wanting to call the Pats smart cheaters that again evade justice from the NFL.
