"At the risk of alienating Patriots fans, they are not the loudest fans in the league".

While that may be true, it is also irrelevant in this case. Hey jack@$$, the home fans aren't supposed to cheer when the home team offense is calling signals. Aren't Colt fans universally praised for giving Manning an advantage when they pipe down to a whisper during his chicken dance? It isn't the first time the SNF crew has pulled off this stunt: They performed the same garbage during the San Diego game earlier in the season. Gaudelli's other culprit, "the cold weather", wasn't applicable then either. NBC and its crack crew, so quick to condemn the Pats and portray the "videogate" nonsense as "Watergate", have intentionally broadcast those signals with the knowledge it brings a competitive disadvantage. For all we know they were the ones that sold audio from the SNF Indy game to Miami last season. Maybe the Eagles had the audio from the Buffalo game the previous week and that helped them give the Pats' O more trouble than expected. Not out of the realm of possibility considering BB seemed both concerned and previously unaware of the problem when asked about it on Monday. "I'll look into it," he said.

LMFAO, what a moron that guy is. The Pats fans should be loud enough to drown out the sound to the TV - and to Brady's teammates

:bricks:

Easy and very funny solution to this problem. Have Tom Brady incorporate the phrase "NBC Sucks" into every conversation at the line. Watch how fast those microphones stop picking up his calls. ;)

"We're trying to be the Patriots of television"

Great, a $750K fine and a #1 pick from NBC for cheating - asswipe.

While I think your idea is solid, better execution would be to drop promos for Family Guy on Fox and the ridiculous lineups CBS touts each Sunday night (you know, Amazing RACE, Cold CASE, Without A TRACE).

If this happens again and the Patriots are made aware of it during the game I'll bet you anything Brady will start staying things on purpose, not necessarily bad things but he'll start throwing things out for public consumption, i.e. "vote for Koppen for Pro-Bowl" ....."Randy Moss best receiver in football"...etc
You KNOW Brady would do it too. :D

someone ask them why they didnt pick up sound in the 2nd half . surely someone asked them to shut it. and this line

""We're trying to be the best at what we do. I don't see how they can have a complaint."
what a load of BS. someone hears those signals and sees the play that was run after, it gives such a great insight into the play.anyone can rerun the recording and try and pick up stuff.

If TB somehow finds a way to plug Peter Griffin tonight I swear to god I'll figure out a way to have his kids. And I'm a dude.

I'm not sure if you're kidding, but Brady isn't Tony Romo. He takes gametime very seriously and would never be distracted like that.

I wonder if he was even listening to himself...
"The only other person we've gotten that kind of sound with on a regular basis is Peyton Manning when he's home, because obviously the crowd doesn't cheer when he's on the field," Gaudelli said. "The correlation with Tom and Peyton is that for the first half of the game, [Tom] was running the no-huddle offense and had a lot more to say and had to communicate very loudly. Also, when the ground is hard, the sound bounces better, and when it's cold conditions, that normally produces better sound.

If not for the slight delay in 'live' broadcasts making any shenanigans almost impossible, it would be the biggest middle finger I've ever heard of, if the Pats could screw with NBC like that. We can only hope.

With all due respect to NBC...THEY ARE FULL OF ****!!
They must think that we fans are stupid. That article pissed me off.

Better yet, for Brady to use titles of ABC, CBS and Fox shows in his audibles:

"46...... Omaha....ABC's Grey's Anatomy Tuesday nights at 9......hut....hut....."

I wonder if he was even listening to himself...

I thought the exact same thing.
I know this has been said before, but....how can the brodcasting of Brady's signals be okay, but a team tap1ng the same thing from the sideline not be? :bricks:

Huh?
Why direct microphones at him if the intent was not to broadcast play calls?
What a dunce.

ohh man, he must think hes so smart, and were just mindless fanatics, owww
