i'm only guessing, but you must be referring to the hershel walker to minesota for half their team and half their picks trade. What was it 4 players and 4 picks?
Re: The time has come....
that's BS.
If BB had defended himself, the media would have killed him
if BB admitted guilt, the league would have killed him
BB took the only course of action he could survive...say nothing
coincidentally, "say nothing" is course of action that has resulted...
the best one is:
dallas clark -concussion
hmmm, maybe Rodney did that
by the way, the Chargers are a good team coming off a bad home loss. look for indy to lose again.
i grew up in Pa as an eagles fan and moved to Ma in '81 to go to college. I had no reason to change alliances because Vermeil and jaws had just taken philly to its 1st super bowl (loss to raiders).
none of the pats home games were blacked out at UMASS/amherst. There was something special...
Re: Fan Problems- We forgot how to handle close games
while i never thought we would lose yesterday, the phantom PI's and non-calls had me yelling at the tv more than my 8 year old daughter found acceptable. after we got our 1 call of the game (holding), i went strangely quiet. Almost like i...
Re: Still Livid
hey wildo......
unfortunate but accurate
the samuel call was marginal - 3 points
the hobbs call was ludicrous -3 points
the moss no call was ridiculous, his arm was held
the moss PI was bullshiiiiiiit
the way i see it, these officials tried to give indy 14 and take 7...
all the bad calls aside, the 1 holding call against them was HUGE for us, without it we lose. Not to mention that was pretty stout D to hold them to 6 after the two PI calls.
penalties:
- 40 yard PI against samuel-questionable
- 40 yard PI against hobbs - ridiculous
- offensive PI against moss- ridiculous
-offensive holding against colts - forced them to punt and started our comeback
dont underestimate how important it was that our defense forced 2 field goals...
wow.....i'ld go the other way. Put hobbs on an island with harrison and asante on wayne w/the FS and let rodney cover clark w/LB help undernerneath.
but i'm just a shlep
too many questions
most teams don't blitz us much (less than 20% of passing plays)
our offensive sets include 4wr 1rb, 3wr 1te 1rb, 2wr 2te 1rb....+++++
we take what the defense gives us, unless we take what we want
great point solaris........classic double speak
and this whole situation lives on why???????
because BB refused to bite the hook when the media asked him leading questions during week 1. remember BB's reponse, "i made a statement, you've got it in writing, i've got nothing more to say...
honestly, who gives a damn about parity. the nfl created this situation with the post 2003 polian inspired offensive rules interpretation changes. So pittsburgh and indy win 05 and 06 while we're figuring out how best to reload.
hello 07, not only is our offense dominating, but we're...
The pats D is getting off the field 71% of the time on 3rd down (thanx Metaphors). That means the pats offense is getting another chance to score and move further ahead. If the pats continue this trend, the colts have no shot.
Unlike last year in the 2nd half, when the pats D was sick and...
tightest analysis i've read here so far.
given equal special teams play and turnovers (surely not a given),
our offense will be on the field at least 35 minutes.
margin of victory will be around 20.
