OT: Kris Jenkins blasts former teammates

Lets not allow our homerism to detract from the truth. Chris Jenkins is a really effing good NT. Is Wilfork better? Maybe. Will Jenkins' recent injury derail his career? Maybe. But the guy is a beast and is one of the few superstars at the position. Up until his injury last year, he was the...

    The Ron Brace disaster

Ron Brace was a project pick. He lacked the strength to play NT. No one should have expected him to do well last year, and he might not even be great this year. We drafted him because he has the perfect frame for a NT which is an extremely rare trait. Year 3 is the make or break year for him.

How big is a tight end to an offense? - Just look at this Sunday's games

Of the 8 teams playing this weekend - 3 of those teams have at least two players with the last name Williams on their roster. This proves that having multiple people with the last name Williams on your roster makes a difference in your team's success. You are confusing correlation with...

Fans at the game today: boo to you

Re: Our fans are "dog-fakers" If you actually think more than half of the people who go to the game are that clueless you are off your rocker. Also, why should a team that consistently sells out it's stadium lower the ticket prices anywhere? There is way too much penis envy going on here...

Fans at the game today: boo to you

Our team mailed it in. It was a pitiful effort and they deserved to be booed. The booing didn't really start until the interception during the drive after Brady fumbled. If they were genuinely trying, I think most would not have booed. But it was patently obvious that they were soft...

    OT: ESPN caught plagiarizing PFT.com

Plagiarism does not have many shades. I've heard of kids getting kicked out of college for forgetting to cite a source. The standard should be even higher for journalists. Really the only major variable at play here is how much of a stink the finder of plagiarism wants to make about it...

Let's Play a Game (help shore up our patchwork defense)

Any players from the 2009 draft come to mind that would fix the deficiency?

Let's Play a Game (help shore up our patchwork defense)

no no no. Just to clarify I'm talking about the entire pool of draftable players, not just our draft class. "Patchwork" was sarcasm. This thread is mainly to prove a point.

Let's Play a Game (help shore up our patchwork defense)

Please list any and all defensive players that were available in the 2009 draft that would have been an immediate upgrade over one of our defensive starters had we drafted them. Our Starting Squad: DE: Ty Warren NT: Vince Wilfork DE: Richard Seymour OLB: Pierre Woods ILB: Jerod Mayo ILB: Tedy...

BB on a Mission with the D

It's almost like BB thinks we have a STACKED defense. Hmm...I wonder why that is.

BB praises his OLB'S (CRABLE, REDD, WOODS)

I would rather have Woods hands down. Taylor is old and would be playing out of position. He would be a liability in pass coverage.

BB praises his OLB'S (CRABLE, REDD, WOODS)

If we do pick up JT it's only because we can. He won't start. Furthermore, the likely line-up when he's on the field would be Woods Mayo Thomas Taylor not Taylor Mayo Bruschi Thomas.

BB praises his OLB'S (CRABLE, REDD, WOODS)

Re: BB praises his OLB'S (CRABLE, REDD,WOODS) Quit while you are still behind. Anybody who watched the patriots last year knows that Woods did quite well in the time he played before the injury. Like I said before, we were grooming him for the role. To state that he is back up quality...

BB praises his OLB'S (CRABLE, REDD, WOODS)

Re: BB praises his OLB'S (CRABLE, REDD,WOODS) *Headsmack* For the last time... Woods is our starter. We have been grooming him for this role for 4 years. The ONLY player that MIGHT have disrupted this plan was Peppers. At that was only going to happen if he wanted to play for nothing, and...

    Press Conference coming soon?

I remember last year there were draft related videos of BB circulating all around the internet. This year I haven't been able to find anything. I'm especially interested in the patriots press conference about the draft picks. Does anyone know when this will be?

    Hobbs traded to Philadelphia [mergedx2]

Well now that we turned around those 2 5th rounders for Ohrnberger and a 6th rounder do people have a different opinion about it?
  18. T

    That's the Wrap Folks (kinda)

Wow I fail: I'll shut my mouth before I anger BB any more. Hobbs Traded for Orhnberger and a 6th round pick. I guess we weren't done after all.

    That's the Wrap Folks (kinda)

We've still got 4 picks left but they are: 5th round compensatory (untradeable) 6th round compensatory (untradeable) Two 7th rounders. This signals to me that we've already grabbed all the players we intend to keep on the roster. The rest will likely be practice squad (or cut). Our...
