Just remember.... from 1992-1995, we went through four different uniform combinations.
1992 - last year of Pat Patriot.
1993 - first year Flying Elvis with red numbers/white outlines on the blues.
1994 - Flying Elvis but now with white numbers/red outlines on the blues
1995 - the radical...
It's a standard pendulum swing. Pete was supposed to be the anti-Parcells. But that was, of course, a much different situation. Pete inherited a literal Super Bowl team. Jerod is...not.
Man, venecol, you would be really easy to manipulate. "But that's what the interviews said!"
How do we know? WE ALREADY KNOW he manipulated TWO of the interviews in such a way as to upset those who agreed to those interviews. How can we be sure he didn't do it with anybody else's? How can...
But then that's what it is. A story. It's not proof one way or another. I would rate it as highly dubious as a source. If you're just looking for entertainment, sure. But, evidence? Proof? Look elsewhere.
It doesn't matter about the people being interviewed. It matters how everything was being put together. It matters how the questions are framed. That's what biases do. If he's that much of a Kraft fanboy, his choices as to what to leave in and leave out are suspect. I'm guessing people who...
Oof, those quotes from Grazer immediately put this already questionable project into the 'bias' bin. You DEFINITELY can't trust anything in this piece now. Talking the way he did about Kraft is absolutely unacceptable if he wants this to be taken seriously.
Right now, absent any other additions, I'd say we have a top 3 of Douglas, Bourne, and Osborn. I hope they give a longer look at Boutte. Be nice to see what he can do with a good WR coach, a better offense, and a coach who allows more than one rookie mistake for a WR.
As I've said before...
At this point, he had to go. But what Belichick did to this kid's potential was unconscionable. After a pretty successful rookie year, it looks like NOTHING was done to help his second year QB, arguably the most important year in determining a young QB's trajectory...
I'd rather we take care of the OL and WR rooms first before a QB. Hit on that LT or WR and you can help that QB. Right now, that QB is going to get killed and develop bad habits.... seeing ghosts, forcing balls, all the bad stuff you saw Mac do as the offense crumbled.
Anything can be a gateway. Then you need to look at circumstances, genetics...
My view is that anything addictive, anything considered a vice...is problematic to prohibit under penalty. What's more needed are places to get treatment and a reduction of the stigma surrounding addiction. Too...
Wilson's talent level is dropping, but his ego isn't. And of course Payton said otherwise. He didn't want to tank his value. But look at what he DID. Follow the actions, not the words.
Well, as far as his 'mediocre' years, you have to look at when he got his career started. Look at the career leaders in FG percentages for guys who started around then. They're all around 80 or so. It was a different era.

One thing I'm not sure about as far as Brissett compared to Flacco. I think Flacco'd be more amenable to being another coach in the QB room. I'm not sure if Brissett is there yet.
I liked The Sporting News myself. Back when it was a newspaper format and they had team updates for EVERY team. It was fantastic. Once they went magazine format, it became focused more on 'emotional' stories. I hate that junk. Give me data and analysis!
