Makes sense for Belichick to keep him around and in shape in case injuries befell the team and you needed a 2 week back-up. I believe he could still pass protect and catch short passes until he's 40.
Re: Pats Actives Today: Spikes, Chung In!
I am disappointed though by Kevin Faulk being inactive. I was kind of hoping Pats could get a big lead and he could get a bunch of final carries in what will probably be his last NFL regular season game.
I thought Pats toughness was demonstrated by how they reacted after the 2 biggest hits of the game.
Woodhead got leveled and comes right back on the next play and runs 5 yards for the first down.
Brady gets absolutely crushed and immediately pops up and doesn't show any effects to an...
What's the rush to judgement for Tony?
Decide in April of 2012 if Manning's health is returned. If it has I see Manning playing at a high level into his forties. He plays at least 8 games inside every year and I truly believe he wants to set every possible QB record.
If Indy is #1 in 2012...
Welker will turn 31 in 2012 so there is a concern on paying too much for future performance based on past history.
There are no significant free agents besides Welker in 2012 so they could use 2011 available cap money for a big guaranteed bonus now and ease Welker's mind a little bit as he...
I couldn't understand why on 2 different Miami drives why the Dolphins didn't go for it on fourth down. You were 0-4 with nothing to lose.
On their first drive on the Jets 41 it's 3rd and half a yard for a first and they elect to pass and then punt.
Later in the 2nd half trailing 14-6 they...
Pats kicker Koepplin had 8 kickoffs last night resulting in 2 touchbacks, 2 were 8 yards deep, 1 -6, 1-5,1-2.
Won't Gost's kicks be equally good when he's healthy?
I wonder if this was regular season whether Jags would have taken 5 touchbacks last night. The Jags needed the preseason...
I agree that the Light era is over, Vollmer can make the switch to left tackle. The money saved by not resigning Light goes to signing a long term deal with Logan Mankins.
I think the Patriots are much more likely to trade pick #33, the first of the second draft day. They have a full day to entertain offers and should be able to turn that pick into a 2012 #1 and 2011 late 2nd.
Re: Win one for Alge!
I remember Branch after the Baltimore OT win and I was surprised how polite he was, so many yes sirs he used. He was definitely the anti-thug. I really expected to hear Pat haters talking about bringing in Uncle Tom Branch to replace angry black man Moss but nothing...
I am not fond of CHB but that was a good read. What I can't understand is why he still has a job at the Globe. I would think his small click totals like bad ratings should be enough evidence for the Globe to let Dan walk.
I have realized by reading a lot of other team message boards how much the other 31 team fans are so sick about hearing anything positive about the Patriots. If Breer chooses to demean the Pats he is making 95% of the viewers happy.
I think why the catch was so sweet for me was that for a moment Brady was considering running it in. Brady meeting his own Mo Lewis at the goal line could have changed everything.
