RAC always got the defense to play hard for him, and that was one reason the defense was so successful when he was DC. It allowed BB to focus on other areas that he tends to excel at. Especially early this season the defense looked like it lacked motivation at times.

Pete Carroll might have someday developed into a fine pro coach, but with a new stadium in planning Bob Kraft probably didn't have the time to wait. Eric Mangini probably had a similar problem at the Jets.
