Not sure on this. Doubt it. Wolf is pretty well-respected and not a rookie. This isn't the #1 pick, so I'm sure people like Minn are holding their best offer until they see exactly how 1 and 2 play out.
Umm, YEAH...
Umm, YEAH.
If it's true that they think there are 3 worth taking there (not 5...
I prefer the no trade down to the trade down because I'll take Penix over McCarthy, Alt over anyone you picked, and no way a CB there.
My dream would be a trade down with Minn, getting Odunze at 11 and Penix at 23.
Andy is a great coach and belongs in that company. Mahomes hit the jackpot going to KC - he would have been really good anyway, but on the Chiefs he's become otherworldly. A big part of that is Reid and his staff.
I think BB's back next year and with the Cowboys. Thought he'd go there this year...
2 will be gone by the time they pick, if I can count right. Best in the class is Williams.
Not sure there's much difference between any of the next 3-4, for one reason or another.
The QBs aren't all top 5. Allen, maybe.
Brown might be, so swap him for Deebo or any other top receiver.
Similarly, swap Wirfs for any of the top 10 LTs in the league.
Which is exactly my point. Fix those three positions with quality players and the Pats are in the mix. When your QB sucks as...
Their evaluation is everything and hey gave to keep the political fallout out of their decision-making.
If they prefer Maye or Daniels, draft whoever is standing at 3.
If McCarthy, maybe move down a bit.
If Penix or Rattler, trade out.
If they’re all graded evenly, trade out and collect...
From the pocket, which I mean by “thrower,” yeah, he is. Another high-grader is Rattler.
Penix doesn’t have the off-platform whiz-bang, but from the he’s the best thrower pretty much everywhere you look.
I count 3, but one, QB, is absolutely critical, and another, high-end WR, hard to come by, and another, LT, tough to find.
And all three are really expensive.
I don't think he will, but he grew up a Patriots' fan (still cannot f***ing believe they didn't draft him!). Yes, the Eagles might win another Super Bowl, but their window might be closing - they had a lot of older players there.
I know most of this board thinks the Pats are 52 players away...
If they rate the six QBs (or the 5 who might be there) closely, then trading down is absolutely an option.
If they had the #1 pick, take Williams (unless they hate his attitude).
The flip side of this is that suddenly becoming a rich star under bright lights can break a kid.
Similarly, the speed of the game, the sure failures - maturity matters.
