Yeah, Slater had a bit of a down year because of injuries. That tends to happen as players get to 30. Hopefully he will have a couple more healthy years.
King is only 22. So I could definitely see him here as the next long time gunner. Though what Slater has done should not be diminished, he's...
I think that for a player to be able to stick around as a ST only guy he has to be a really dominant ST guy. White was good, but not dominant like Slater. King also looks to be really good.
Is it for Bill though? Last year we pretty much had 2 ST only players that are not kicking/snaping. King and Slater. We also had Bolden that did play RB, but was obviously very low on that depth chart as the pats kept brining in other guys to run instead of him.
It's still a nickel league, so that will be the most used package. But I think that we will see more defensive formations where we use 3 big DTs, and 4 LBs where the outside LBs are our regular ends. With 4-2-5 being the most used package.
I think that the point of having several big DTs is to...
But why would they accept the 5th year option? The only way that he could be worth that amount of money is if he suddenly switched to LT and become one of the best LTs in the league. There is no benefit of giving a player the 5th year tag if you know that it is impossible for the player to be...
I'm in the keep Jimmie camp if he plays well. Good QBs don't grow on trees. You just need to look within our own division to see how hard it can be to find even a decent QB. So if he plays well and shows potential to be a good or very good starter, then I don't see how you can trade him when...
Sure. But that's pretty much what we got from Vereen, and he was a second round pick. I much prefer the value of White as a 4th rounder. But yeah. Both Vereen and White are players where you kind of start to wonder if you can't put a WR there instead.
I think that we could really use a Ridley-ish runner. It doesn't have to be a runner that's dynamic and can do everything. But someone who can hit the hole hard and run with power. That's what I see missing from our offense right now as Blount likes do dance around a bit more and isn't that good...
Probably, yeah. I'm not kind of done already. I couldn't even bother to watch the super bowl last season. There's several reasons. For one I find it hard to watch knowing how concussions can affect players heavily later in their life. And for how the NFL front office has treated Brady and the...
Though to be somewhat fare. The negative/disagree button isn't exactly constructive critisism. It's not really constructive in any way.
But I agree that people complain way too much about getting negative rating.
I think that Jimmy is legit. As in he could be a top 10 QB in the league. And I firmly believe that you don't trade a QB of that talent with your starting QB nearing 40. Even if that starting QB is Brady. Because at that age injuries heal slower, and one really bad hit could quickly shorten...
The Pro Bowl is still very much a name competition. I'm not so sure that he would have gotten voted in if he didn't have the super bowl pick. I'm not saying anything on his 2015 performance. Just that I put very little value in players making the pro bowl, because it is a name and fame competition.
I don't really expect anything from Roberts. The odds for a late round guy spending his first year on IR is not good. Most don't make it. But it would be really good if be could turn his athleticism to solid play.
The thing with corners is that a few teams see a guy play really good as a nr2...
If he has another good season I could absolutely see some team overpaying him like the Eagles did with Maxwell. Paying way to much for #2 corners seems to be the trend of the NFL.
But don't you see it Deus? Imagine how much money he could get if he went to a contender, had an all pro season, and ended up in the super bowl. That would be hitting gold for him.
Oh, Wait.
I think many here overrate how much playing on the Pats boost someones stock. Playing very good, especially on a very team boosts your stock. And there are more very good teams than just the Pats.
I just don't see how that is possible. He basically played as well as he could last year, and made it to the super bowl. That's hitting gold before FA. What more could he get from a year with the Pats? Sure, we are late in the FA period. But there are still teams with a lot of cash and need for...
