Yeah he was tagged. Think Jenkins could be a nice addition but seems alot of teams want him so not sure how much money he would require?

Is he looking for 4m/year ?

"NFL.com's Kimberly Jones broke the news Sunday that Jenkins had signed a three-year, $8 million contract with the Giants. Jenkins is guaranteed $3 million in the deal."

Seems like a manageble deal. Too bad we werent in on the bidding.

3 years 8 million is really an amazing value for a guy like Jenkins.

I'm sure there's an obvious answer to this, but if free agency doesn't start until 3/12, how is Jenkins signing with a new team yesterday?

Yeah, we were talking about it in the FA thread: it is an excellent value signing. I wonder if the Pats even talked to him? He would have really looked good next to Big Vince, especially for that kind of $$. Must be the stain of being on that Philly team that just mailed it in.

Jenkins was released, players whose contracts are ending "naturally" are still technically under contract until March 12th which is why they cannot sign until then.

Jenkins and a few others who signed recently were all terminated early though, so they immediately became free agents where the others are actually still under contract for a few more hours.
