Are we saving the cap room for AP?

Just a thought he has said he wants out of Minnesota they are trying to force their hand in a release but what about a trade a low mid like a 4th or 5th could get it done.

He would have a chance at a Superbowl and we would have a bellcow back that could Extend Bradys career.

Now I know the way he punished his kids is excessive but honestly my grandparents were the same way belts paddles with holes hanger things like that its a southern way of doing things.

I would never treat my own children that way.

If that's the only thing you know however it becomes and feels acceptable and normal.

I'm sure the way AP disciplined his children is the same way he was himself disciplined and saw no error in it.

Again we have the cap we have a winning situation maybe he would play on a 2 year 10 Million dollar contract somewhere around there.

Would you forgive and applaud the move?

Yes. I frankly find the reaction to what he did a bit extreme, frankly. It's a cultural thing.

I prefer the poll just read yes or no, as many people probably don't want him here, but not because of the silly thing with his boy.

SIGN THE BEAST.

Whipping a child isn't "silly" but I do buy somewhat the cultural aspect of it even if he should have known better. Like Vick I think he deserves another chance but I wouldn't give a RB that kind of money, and i would be really surprised if Belichick did.

I will say this, he is a rare back and he's dominant, The Patriots offense would be scary with him in it, bit I just don't think they would do it.

A fun thought to think about, but probably no.

How can he be forgiven if he never apologized?

I voted "no", not necessarily due to the off-the-field issue, but just because I see it as highly unlikely. The increase in production from Blount to AP doesn't seem to warrant the huge jump in cost, even as good as Peterson is. Then when you add in the fact that the Vikings will want decent compensation in a trade, and I can't imagine BB would see any value in that move.

Mind you, these pictures were taken SIX DAYS AFTER the beating occurred while visiting "Daddy Peterson" who has a "Whupping Room".

Yes, it is a cultural thing.

Putting leaves in a 4 year old child's mouth and beating him with a stick until he has lacerations over his legs, scrotum and buttocks is a cultural thing.

Stoning women for not wearing a head covering is also a cultural thing.

Really well put.

He's a Viking and will remain a Viking until I guess someone offers them a great trade.
Highest paid RB in the league ... why would anyone want him at the current salary?

No way the Patriots would trade for AP. Even putting aside his legal issues, running back seems to be a position that Belichick believes he can plug in anyone and they'll be effective.

For those who do not want him because of what he did - would your perspective change if Tom was the one who did it? I'm not taking a side but am interested if people would offer a 2nd chance if it was one our heroes.

2 yr / 10?? No way he would play for that . Teams would line up to give him more
