PostGame Thread Official Post-Game Thread: Patriots Lose to Commanders 20-17

Immediate Postgame Reactions
Embrace the suck... as the 6 rings podcast would say.

Here’s a sad truth: the best the Patriots as a team have looked in two years were the two games Zappe started last year.

It’s an absolute travesty that Zappe never got another chance to start.

That’s not even to say that I think Zappe would be that good; it’s just that Mac is THAT bad.

Just here to see how many times someone blames the last int on mac

Also...I would love to blow this whole team up...but all signs still point to the same system staying in place w Mayo possibly being the head coach, so what is the point. Complete tone deaf organization.
Yeah, you can definitely blame a lot on Mac Jones for the loss today… But not the last throw… That was all pure juju dog ****

Step 1: Draft: Maye, Williams, McCarthy, or Nix (depending on draft position). Wouldn't mind Harrison Jr either.
Step 2: Resign one of 2 of Trent Brown or Onwenu.- Preferably Onwenu but if Trent, move to RT.
Step 3: Draft tackles in rounds 2&3. Maybe 2-4.. we'll then have great depth between G & T.
Step 4: Resign Bourne, Jennings, OL mentioned above, and Dugger
Step 5: Let it rip
Step 1. Hire a proper GM and take away "grocery shopping" duties from BB needs to happen first before ANY of those moves have even a snowball's chance in hell of happening!

31 teams had a shot to get your boy for free and they all passed.

I’m saying it outright. Extending the game would have had ZERO influence on the outcome. The inability of NE’s O to do anything but screw up meant it was impossible for them to win today.

3 pts. Against the DC Commanders. It was awful.

Yea..I see...but still , the receiver not doing his job should not get lost in translations...

Honestly, it can’t hurt now… The pats season is technically over hey, what the heck put in Cunningham

I just watched Joshua Dobbs, who the Vikings just acquired, drive his team down the field for a TD to beat the Falcons. Why can’t we get a guy who does that?

It seems like weekly im seeing guys who were available for less than what mac cost us who may not be answers but are far better prospects right now. Dobbs, Levis, Howell who we selected bailey effing zappe over, should’ve been a no brainer.

The optimist in me wants to think positive and think theres a greater plan in store for us. Maybe one of these guys just keeps us mid for a few more years while mac can hopefully get us a top 5 pick and a much better prospect than all. But theres also the part of me who feels bb will find a way to botch this as well.

He had 1. Gronk. As much as I love Jules he was never top 3.
Sorry, I should've been clearer. Splitting WR into slot and deep, you had Welker, Edelman, and Moss. And he had a number of great pass-catching RBs, too.

OK and who signed JSS and let Jakobi Meyers walk? Initials beginning with the second letter of the alphabet?

Jonathan says "We're not good enough"... not really sure how that's breaking news or a big deal... if he said "Fire Bill" I think it would be worth sharing, otherwise this is kind of a nothing-burger

I have a feeling today might turn out to have been the day the Krafts decided to move on from Bill.

Why would they not? It's a poorly constructed team, badly coached, isn't it?
They'll allow him the dignity of "retiring" after the season.

But also terrible luck with injuries (and timing thereof).
