PostGame Thread 2023 Patriots Official Postgame Thread: Week - 14 NE @ PIT

Immediate Postgame Reactions
It's possible that they broke Jones but it doesn't matter now. They can't unbreak him or they would have already. He is done in NE. Hopefully they can get something half decent for him in a trade.
Agreed. Get something in return for him. A low 4th ,hight 5th? And parker for fields..

So let's get this on record Mac who has beaten Zack Wilson 5 times is the worst QB in the NFL?
10 who is 2-9 this year and has played like crap is worse than Wilson who is 5-6 this year.
10 has throw 5 more ints.
Wilson’s team has put up 180 points in 11 starts
10s team has put up 138 11 starts.

They've both been benched just as much.

Tyreek said actually his agent used a contract ploy of saying he was going to seek a trade in the way that many have done even Chris Jones. They had already paid Mahomes before hill. He then admitted he didn't believe KC would take him seriously and move him. Yes I agree it's the ultimate team sport. However KC was always finesse, quick strike team.. they were built on speed and putting teams down quickly. I know that KC did win last season, but they just don't look fluid offensively, everything looks difficult for them offensively. Brady took hits offensively with branch.. we then had an elite defense that kept us in games. Then the 2010s we took hits on defense and Brady was putting up 400 plus a game. You can win different ways in the NFL but need the guys on both sides of the ball.
I agree you need to be balanced, with talent spread across the entire roster and all three phases.

That being said, the Patriots this season have been talent deficient at QB. If Zappe plays great going forward BB will have to answer for leaving him pinned to the bench when last season he was far superior to Mac.

If we're insisting last years Chiefs and this years team are talent deficient, we're going to have to admit that their best WR Juju was never the problem here at all... this will undoubtedly cause some heads to explode here.

Wanted your thoughts... the bears reportedly are going to trade fields in the off season... we absolutely should be in on him.!
I really like Fields he has a ways to go as a passer but he can also beat you with his legs. He tore our Defense a new one last year. Lamar didn't become a decent passer overnight I would offer our Second Rounder.

Rex Ryan says the Patriots should trade their first round pick for Fields. Lol
This is why he’s on tv and not the sidelines. He only won with Mangini’s teams.

Agreed! Fileds has trem upside hebhas gotten better as a passer since last season. Definitely worth a second. Zapp could back him up.

Lloyd was good for 1 season here.. 1100 yards.. I don't think our WRs have 1,100 yards combined.
That's my point. Brandon Lloyd was the perfect X receiver. No YAC, but if you threw him a 13-yard route, he'd get exactly 13 yards. 2012 Patriots were basically Welker and Hernandez/Gronk (playing half the year each pretty much), and couldn't really run the ball - so basically one playmaker option for Brady at a given time, and Brandon Lloyd when they needed a completion. That was Juju's role for KC last year.

Yes. Did you watch Zach Wilson yesterday? That's better than any game Mac has had as a pro. The numbers for this year back it up.

Ridley ran the rock very well that year.. I believe he had over 1000 yards no? We had a potent offense with the 2 TE sets. Gronk got hurt in that game against indy on a PAT attempt right? Lloyd was good for us it was one of those weird contracts. He had a 2 yr deal but somehow only did 1 season. He was great on the sideline. Very athletic guy. Yeah juju I'm my opinion wasn't healthy when we signed him and as it's said you don't become healthier as the season goes on.
